Because you asked a question about a not so legal activity.

The mob who was advertising to remake tags now no longer does so.
Their supplier was politely told by a certain police officer who was over in the US that THEY could and would be taken to court if they continued supplying these as it is highly illegal, not only by national law, but international convention.

You cannot remove or move the legal identifiers of a vehicle except in complicated and controlled processes, like changing to a replacement shell, which must be approved by he registration authority prior to the event.
Get some pedantic fella down at transport or copper on the side of the road who knows his numbers and you could create more drama than you want.

Just leave it, drive it, you know what it is and you tell everyone, so why worry.

Yeah, I reckon you should apologise Grant, you don't even know Blair, he's not a dickhead, he's a good bloke.

 

That sort of name calling is very immature and just gets out of hand on forums when people aren't face to face. 

This maybe your forum but I'd like some ownership to this thread by keeping the abuse out of it.

I don't think he was calling anybody a dickhead, just stating that swapping tags on cars is something a dickhead would do...
