Same place that built dads. Iv only put 5000kms on the box, cost over $4k and iv already been back twice about issues. Time to get nasty i think... Going there tomorrow.

Cool mate, be good to catch up!

Planetary!!! Do you downshift hard?
I was warned not to allow the gearbox to "over rev" by pulling down from third to second at high speeds, this over revs the planetarys because they are spin ging at twice crank revs in a th400. (I'm just reciting what I was told!!).

Hope it's not a driving style issue!!

First time probably was driving style. But since the box has been rebuilt its done 2500kms on a holiday with missus and little one on the freeway. I honestly havent had it fixed long enough to give it a hard time. Always got Alexis in the car so its babied everywhere...

For 4 grand it would want to be able to cop a hiding all day every day!!

I was thinking the planetarys might be copping it if you the downshift thing (I didn't realise it was so bad for autos to do this!).

Hope they look after you mate!

Thats what I was thinking Rob. Spend so much for so little. I got more from the stock box lol.

Spoke to him on the phone and he said it sounds like the planetarys have collapses. Going back in tomorrow arvo.

By the way, just noticed that from 10am-4pm on Wednesday is an ANDRA test and tune, im guessing for the upcoming Nitro Champs this weekend. Im thinking all day watching racing sounds awesome! :)

Spewin Mitch it sucks when you pay the bucks for the good gear and it lets you down so prematurely.

Good news is my wife had first day of "treatment" and has pulled through well so tomorrow is just a matter of going back for a "flush" to get rid of all the dead "illegal immigrants" and problem solvered fingers crossed.

Looks like Andrew is bringing up his UC as part of his Ebay ad ,I might ask for a test drive lol

Hey Garth! I'm really glad to hear the treatment is going well mate that's the main thing!!

I've swapped to the race rubber, and gotten my tools ready to go into the ute, let's hope the damn weather holds out now and go have some fun!!

Can anyone confirm if snell 2005 standard is still accepted for s/st class? I think it is!

Thanks for the photos Mitch.

I had a great night thanks to everyone that came along it was great to catch up with. You guys.

Matt also made a cameo appearance in his commo ute to get a time out of it .

Struggler ran a 9.72 straight up which was awesome and he could not repeat it wasn't from not trying that is one hell of a car even won a trophy .

Tiny could not get off the line without turning the tyres on his first few passes maybe due to all the weight he has lost lol but once he started doing real burnouts in pre stage it started to hook up and he finally after two years beat Simmos long standing edge over him running a 11.56 getting the monkey off his back ,was awesome to see the big Q sank then launched hard great work.

The VL staging next to Tiny in the photos above was probably the stand out car to me on the night 355 stroker with big turbo was running 9.01 getting off the gas around half track luckily for Tiny he didn't get it spooled up in time when they lined up against each other .

Thanks guys!
It was bloody great to catch up with everyone last night!
I'm still stoked at the times! It's been a long time coming but I knew it had a solid 11.5 in it!!

Thanks again for those who came out and especially garth for lighting a fire under my ass to get out there! It was a top night!

Great to catch up with Garth & the guys. Would've liked to hung around a bit longer but two runs in my VS ute didn't deliver what I was expecting & I saw no point in chasing it. I felt out of place running a dirty scratched & dented pile of crap against so many tough V8s.
