Hi Guys,

I just had a call from John about the meeting and we are Good to go!

I indicated approximately 10 cars would be along, and that will be excellent.

Just enter as normal for a street meet and get your paperwork filled out before you come around to scrutineering,

When you are filling out your forms, Just let them know you are part of teh GMH Group and they will mark that on the cars and give us our unique lane number.

All is good!

Look forward to some side-by side action! Bring it on Matt!

As discussed, the following might be useful information for your colleagues this Sunday…

For lane reservation on a Wednesday night Race 4 Real event, or Sunday Street Meet, we prefer to keep to a maximum 20 cars. This is due to the geographical restriction imposed by the relevant staging lane… and the likelihood that other assigned lanes, hopefully, will be full.

We’ve made the process as easy as possible:

·         There is no fee other than the normal $55 competitor entry fee, payable on entry through Gate 14

·         Choose a pit space and complete your entry form while still in the pit area

·         Take your COMPLETED entry form and drivers licence – on-foot – to Registration

·         Your lane reservation participants should each advise the Registration and Scrutineering officials that they are part of the lane reservation

·         Once your paperwork is approved and a wristband has been issued, then collect your car and bring it around for Scrutineering.

Please note: When drivers bring their car straight to scrutineering, then go and stand in a queue for Registration, you can imagine the traffic gridlock it creates. Everyone gets blocked and no one goes anywhere. So, please do the paperwork first, then scrutineering, then head into the staging lanes ready for racing.

It would help if each of your members could write your lane reservation name (e.g. “GMH”)on their entry forms, before they get to Registration. That will ensure no one is missed and assigned to a different lane

Well!
What a bloody top day!
Thanks to everyone who came out today, I hope everyone had fun!

It turned out to be a fairly warm day, SIMMO got roasted in the sun!
We had 10 runs today which is pretty huge really.
I did 2 passes first up to get a base line and they were a 11.60 and an 11.57! Both at 115mph!
Ok cool! Consistent, where it usually is - bewdy!

Lets throw on the 1" spacer!
We did that and then ran an 11.52@ 115, then [email protected]!!
This spurred me to go again, but I blazed the tyres and got an 11.9!
I went straight back for another run and went 11.434 & 119.24 mph!
You bewdy!!

I ran another pass but was a bit off the pace with an 11.50 and decided to call it a day!

What a top day, thanks to John Henman and the crew for our private lane hire,
A big thanks to Wayne, Matty, Daryl and of course Simone for helping on the car!

Cheers!

Thanks Mitch!
To be honest, I was amazed! Picked up almost 4 mph (as Craig wot179 suggested I would!) but to nail a solid 11.4 was unreal!

Top job tiny :)

Thanks for organising it.

Sorry to everyone that we didn't say goodbye to, we had to pack up and head off to Penrith and I think you were all up watching the burnouts?

Wagon ran a best of 13.72 for the day, which could prove that it isn't tuned after all, so dyno time to follow up in the next couple months.

What a great day, finally got to rub door handles with you Tiny. Well done on the 119mph, looking at a low 11 pass soon. Pity neither my car nor myself were up to the task of running with you, I honestly thought it had more in it, 11.7@115mph is all it got. Not sure where to go from here, time will tell. Thanks to all the great people who made it such an enjoyable day.

No worries Chris!
Thanks to you as karlie for coming down, I know it's a long haul!
Hope you had fun! :)

Matt: mate it was a real joy lining up next to your beast mate! A car that goes just as good as it looks. You sure proved that its no show pony and you aren't afraid to "row" it.
Man, great work! 115mph is a solid mid 11, 11.6-11.5 no doubt!! And man... For first time out really giving it heaps, you've got acres of fine tuning to go! Plenty if things you can tweak and build on!
Mate, I hope you are chuffed, you deserve to be mate! Top day!!

Thanks mate. I'm a traffic light cowboy from way back, so I love rubbing door handles with staunch cars like yours. And yeah, I'm not scared to drive my car to it's limit. No excuses, it wasn't quite set up the way I would've liked, but I'm happy with how it went. A couple of things I can play with might see it run quicker, but if it doesn't, so be it. I'm enjoying the car whether I'm cruising it, showing it, or bashing it down the quarter & that's all that matters to me. Again, well done on your PB, very impressive gain & I'm proud to have been able to watch you run it. Cheers Matt

Thanx to every body for a top day.
I was a bit disappointed with Greens performance only managed a 14.7.
Put a new dissy in it last night, no time to sort it out.and I think a new set of colder plugs would make a hell of a difference
At least the gear box problem is sorted...Thanx Jason.

just get it ready for the trip to Tassy now

Awesome day and a big thanks to Tiny for inviting me change over into the Torana Forum lane. Lots of fun and whilst my stock-standard Clubsport wasnt a rocket ship, it was lots of fun and the queues were pretty short. It was great to meet Tiny, Matt, Mitch and Wayne etc. Genuine nice guys! Gotta love those 11 sec beasts burning up the track together (I think I've got more rubber on the front of my car than the rear after lining up behind Tiny!!) and well done too on the PB. I think with the 2 inch spacer it will go even quicker!

Cheers,

Bally

Hi joe,
Thanks for the kind words,
Shame you could not make it, it would have been great to rub door handles again!

It was a great day, I was very happy with the outcome for myself, and thoroughly impressed with Everyone else's efforts!
A PB for Mitch in the SS, Mattys stunner running some respectable times out of the box!
Got to meet some nice people and had a great day in the sun!

Maybe next time mate!
