My window guy installed my window glass in my wifes 73 VW for $50 a piece with us supplying materials. I'd shop around just on principal alone. They must rip off people who are unaware of reasonable rates all the time.

Give it a go yourself mate, if you can build a car you can pop a windscreen in.

Yeah I had to get a windscreen replaced after getting frustrated trying to reverse our camper trailer, and I found that even with their "cheap as we can go, discounted to the max price" they were still about $100 more expensive than the next most expensive.

They must make an absolute killing from idiots that only make one phone call.

I would have if you'd told me :-)

I think I've used him in the past actually, but from memory I went with Instant Windscreens that time.

I think it was $330 instead of $500+ that O'Briens wanted, can't really remember but I know it was a LOT more!!

Potta .Reckon it would be around $220- $260  from Paul fitted .Take about 10 mins tops to get it done .Clean it all up where the new one goes in and he will whip it in in no time .Doesn't like using Goo though .You will have to insist on it .

lol potta well got windows put in today rubbers were really good from rares but the chrome locking strip joiner pecies are at the wrong angles take a look at the pics originals on the left rares on the right we got them in but they don't look to good I tried to use the originals but as the chrome rares locking strip is rounded and the original is more square we had no chance...

join the rare spares parts rage list... its almost funny how they are the complete opposite shape of what they should be. might be worth trying to find some other locking strip that will fit your original corners if possible.

nice car by the way

Welby and The German have the same issues. Not good. I don't understand why they even put the corners in the kit if they know they are wrong.

Looking good though Daryl. Will be sweet when done, you don't need me to tell you that though LOL, you know it already!!
