Just wondering, if you buy interstate, do you tell the PO that you're going to register interstate?

They could then get reimbursed for the unspent rego once you cross the border.

How does it work exactly once you cross the border, can you drive around on leftover interstate rego from the PO?

I purchased a car from nsw last year. Was supposed to transfer to qld rego within 28 days or something like that. I actually did not bother until the rego ran out. At which point i had to get a rwc, pay rego AND pay stamp duty....

You have to do that regardless, you got bonus time driving around on the PO's rego, lol.    It's ok to drive around interstate so I can't see why you couldn't do that, when you buy a car locally you get to keep the unspent rego.

Unless its on club plates and they get handed back on purchase

Then your back to getting your own rego sorted.

Hey just wondering how much it would be to get a painter to do the SLR 5000 blackouts on both sides of the car, the wing,  around the bonnet up around the windows and the bonnet? so just all the normal black areas on the car a original LX SLR 5000 would have.

Cheers
