Your close! The owner told me at winton the other day, it was to let the pit crew no what the driver was pulling in for, eg tyres or fuel. Etc
Pretty cool thing for back in the day!

Track was greasy on sunday morning after a commodore was spraying oil out , funny that you can be a 100 metres behind them and your windscreen still gets covered with it ..

Great pics Rob , I like the smelt car pic , looks like its about to shit itself !!

Hopefully that wasn't a red white and blue one Shaun? 8)

We had a gearbox breather issue on Saturday but should have been fixed by then.

How good is the Bluebird going!! Reliability was its problem back in the day and with that seemingly resolved Adam is getting excellent results.

And Terry's Sierra was a bullet once he got it moving. Scary half stall in Saturdays race could have been nasty.

Excellent weekend with great weather but crowds seemed down on previous years.

I have plenty of video and pictures and will try to share once I get time.

Craig's starion runs a bush bearing turbo, he still gets accused of cheating though. He has a sealed engine & the turbo has been inspected, all good. The thing has immense corner speed, that's where it's speed is, not a lot of horsepower, plus he can drive. Certain people were giving him grief coz he qualified in 5th, behind the gtr, now what people are forgetting is that the gtr is driven by a 75 year old man & the lap times are 5 seconds slower than what it was doing back in the day!

Remember the engine sealing thing was brought about mainly because of certain 5.7L holden v8's lol

Sorry for the rant but this cheating thing is getting a bit silly.

Thats a bit harsh dont you think ? Do you like the pic because theer is smoke in it ?

Do you know actually what happened, or are you just enjoying seeing the smoke in the pic ?

Chris is a great guy, and his car is driven regularly and enjoyed.

Majority of the Nissan turbo cars in group A have recently been running or are still running bearing turbo,s when they should be running bush turbo,s this clearly gives an advantage of being able to wind the boost up ,apparently its being addressed now . another thing have heard the turbo boys had been fitting larger fuel pumps to run ethanol fuel but this is only hearsay.
