S,SL,SLR, what the hell do these stand for? I think SL stands for 'Super Luxury' maybe?
I'll seen some cars for sale for eg. 1974 LH Torana SLR (not SLR 5000), what does this mean?

SLR Could be SLR 3300 (202) or SLR 4200 (253)

While were here, does anyone know why Toranas were issued with 'L' names? (Lc Lj Lh Lx)

I read some where they were medium/light (L) sized cars as compared to full
size familly Holdens.

I believe the R in SL/R stood for Racing ??? Vroom Vroom !!!

Exactimendo! And the 'U' in UC stood for ........ UGLY!

The 'H' in HB was Horrendous and the 'T' in TA was for Terrible...

I always thought SL was Sports Luxury
Obviously S would simply be Sports.
SLR? Sports Luxury Racing? I dunno :P

I've heard that LC stood for Light Car.

I always thought 'S' was for standard 'SL' for standard luxury and 'SL/R' was for Standard Luxury/ Racing

UC stood for Utter Crap

S stands for Special

SL stands for Super Luxury

SL/R stands for Super Luxury / Racing

SS stands for Super Sports

solvered! now, what about GTS, GTR, XU-1?

L34 was an engine code... A9X?

SL/T was Super Luxury / Turbo

Woohoo! I have a special LJ :D

Also, anyone know what the 'H' in the 'H' series Holdens stood for? Hq Hz etc

Maybe it just stood for Holden. Not all model codes are genuine acronyms. Sometimes they simply need a model code.

I dont actually mind UC's though, and i cant comment on HB's or TA's. But Chris' (HB1200) HB is pretty nice.
