Driving round with No Plates? Doubt you would get away from attention from Mr Plod even if it was a common car. Seems like these reports are BS imo. With so many ALPR/ANPR units in patrol cars it makes stolen plates an easy target (let alone a bright orange torrie). I think its heading or gone to the parts market now as joyriders would have dumped or been caught by now.

The first person that spotted it again is one of the big players in burnouts and an older guy so doubt that he would be dribbling

That is a painful experience getting your Torrie stolen, had a SLR 5000 stolen from me around 2007. I hope it gets found and all this has a happy end but according to the police when it comes to these type of cars a chance of recovery after such a long time is about 1%. Parts are worth good coin and thats how they end up, as parts.

Kangur did you end up getting the SLR5000 back and if so any damage to it?

Ayden's car was found during a raid today

I would just like to let everyone know that I received a phone call earlier today informing me that my torana had been found during a raid on a house south of the river. It looks totally different and is missing some parts fingers crossed I can get it back and it is worth rebuilding.
I would like to thank the WA police force for all the time they spent on locating my car now hopefully people involve will pay.
And of course all my mates and complete strangers who were always willing to help out.
I seriously can't thank everyone enough. At least I now have closure on this part and hopefully there can be another chapter with this car.
Cheers

Good news. Hopefully the car still has it's tags intact so at least it can be restored back to its former glory.

Wouldn't mind seeing what it looks like now just quietly.

Great news, it must have been in those drug raids they have been doing.

Be interesting to hear the full story now that its back.

Also be interesting to see and hear about what they changed??

Seems a little contradictory as witnesses had reported seeing it driving around for quite a long time.

Its amazing what the cops come across in these drug raids when they are not looking.

I hope it is not too bad when its finally back. (salvage rights?)

The one time you can allow cops a heavy hand and to have the policy of bringing body bags to the job and the most important - shoot first and be accurate.

Hey guys
I would love to post the pictures I have but I have been asked not to at this time which I fully understand although before the end of the week I should be able to.
The house was raided to get my car back not as part of the drug raid although I can only hope they found drugs and other stuff so maybe the bloke they got will get some decent time biting the pillow.
The car is quite different and I doubt the general public wouldn't look at it a second time if it drove past them, you can sort of work out where I'm going there.
Now with the sightings of the car I'm 95% certain that the only time the car was sighted was the morning not got stolen and seen doing burnout in a near by estate.
The sighting the other day at the petrol station was not my car once I obtained the photos, I understand it was selfish of myself not to tell people it wasn't mine but it got people thinking about the car and I thought it may bring out new information and it may have worked. I am sorry for that.
I will keep you guys posted on the progress though. Just have to go see it and see if it worth getting back to rebuild
Cheers
Ayden

Anyone running a book on what colour it is now?

I'm going for matte black.
