Grant would it anchor in the middle of the shelf like the lc-lj?

Biggest issue wayne would be cutting the parcel shelf trim

I need to put 2 anchor points in. I just had a look at the parcel shelf and there is room behind the speakers. I guess I could put some plugs in the holes when the holes aren't being used.

Up to you really. In my opinion, it's never too early to introduce them to muscle!
I understand your thoughts though. Good luck either way.

I know with my passengers it will be a mellow cruise for me with no silly antics. I will only get one chance to show the wife I can drive it normal. It is a struggle though! ;)

Don't get me wrong, I'm always up for antics, but with a six month old in the car,I don't think it's worth it. If i muck up this time, i wont be able to take him for a long while. That would be worse than missing a day of dumb shit for me.
I'm more than happy to watch others though:)

Can do, no stress. Where will you be coming from?
There will be a meeting point in Geelong too if that is of any help.

Macka can you please add the Geelong meeting place for those in your area.

Aim to leave Point Cook at 9:45, should put us in Geelong about 10:30 ish.

Does this sound about right?

Yep, that should get us in Lorne around noon. Just in time for lunch.

We'll have to stop and say a prayer at Aireys Inlet for fallen comrades :P

Hey why don't you just drive through to Torquay, where I live, and I will meet you there. That ok? If so we can meet at the Rip Curl factory car park.

Anchor points have been installed today. Also topped up the gearbox oil as I have a very slight leak that will be getting fixed in a few months. One of my young fella's is definitely coming and the other 2 will make their mind up later in the week.

Torquay it is I didn't realise that's where you lived.
We should be there around 10:45-11:00 if we just cruise.

Any other pick ups on the way?
Any others coming for the cruise?

Good stuff Wayne

Where is torquay in relation to geelong?

Pretty much on the way to the great ocean road, only a slight detour.

Any idea's where we might be having lunch?

Lorne was the thought. Hopefully the weather is ok and possibly have fish and chips by the beach net to our cars. If otthere are plenty of cafe's to choose from. That way we can cruise the day with no time to be at a particular place. It's all up to us on the day.
If anyone wants to suggest a place on the other hand, happy to book :)

My vote is to keep it informal so there's plenty of variety. If Lorne is too busy we can do Anglesea or wherever.

I'm really looking forward to it.

Lorne will be busy fellas, it's Lorne!!! Chances of us all being able to park somewhere together is remote but we might get lucky. One alternative is to go from Lorne to Deans Marsh, inland. Great winding road for 20 minutes through the Otways. There is a cafe/bar/petrol station that is pretty cool and laid back.

Alternatively we can also keep driving another 15 minutes along Great Ocean Road to Wye River. Should be able to get parks around pub and also good place to eat. Alternatively there is the Wye River General cafe. Does good burgers although you pay Great Ocean Road prices but hey you do that all along the GOR!!

Just options if Lorne is really busy. Parking is a prick in Lorne especially if you are trying to get cars together.

By the way Torquay is easy to get to and is actually the "start" of the GOR. Just keep going along the Geelong bypass and follow the signs to Torquay. You will come into town along main Geelong/Torquay highway and Rip Curl factory is on your right last McDonalds. You can't miss it.

All that sounds great to me also.
My only issue will be keeping my wife out of the stores in Torquay!

Mate of mine might be bringing his SLR5000. He'll let me know for sure on Friday.

I will be in my HK Monaro. LC GTR is on display at RACV Resort foyer in Torquay. Been there for about 2 months. Happy though coz I have more room in my garage.
