How are you going with stone chips? I brought mine back from Queensland to WA in 96 and was paranoid about them so I wrapped the car in blankets and tied two car covers over the whole lot. Imagine the look on my face when I had to unwrap it all at the WA border to find my Barbados Green was now Diesel Soot Black!!! It took two days of polishing to get it off.

On the road again to Victoria.
Me just before I left
Hysen Tunnel entering Adelaide Hills
the mighty River Murray
Its one bloody long trip but looking at this photo and the signs of cake crumbs around the Fraud console and seat its obvious you have been working hard on filling in the time.

It turns a massive drive around/over the hills into about 30 seconds going through them...

Found peak hour, what a head job!!!
Looks like your just off the westgate and still got another 1km to go until you the hit the tunnel. After you get through the 3-4km tunnel then you'll hit the car park lol.

Hahaha i lived in Adelaide when they did the new road & tunnel. It took the traffic off the old road that had a couple of wicked hairpins in it! Trucks would fall over & off it rather regular. Back then i had a 3lt manual magna wagon as a company car & on the new road as you begin the decent into Adelaide during 100kph i could lift my foot & it would maintain 110kph for at least 7k's. 2 trucks ended up in the arrestor beds in the first 24 hours of it being opened! Old road was much more fun on a bike or in a car!

I really enjoy that 'run'.
Last time was 3 years back - did the Melbourne to Perth run after picking up a Brock Fairlane.
Took my time and saw some great sites, dropped into Birdwood - unfortunately the GTR-X wasn't there.
I'd recommend the drive to anyone as a must do.

Lol, I'm writing this from Cowes. Yeah that was the last shot I took before it got dark. I just wanted to show the bridge over to the island.
Congrats!
