Probabley a silly question but if your not qualified to drive a manual on Red P plates, what do you do to learn ie put L plates back on and have an adult sit with you or what?

^, possibly, that's what has to be done when going for heavy vehicle licenses also.

Because technically I dont have a L's license anymore because it was replaced by my red Provisionals...So if I am busted on with L plates on in a manual car I could then get whacked with driving unlicensed.Again. lol.

Damn Rory, how do you still have your license...! But its true caning it on the track makes you a lot more mellow on the road. I've realised that the traffic lights in Sydney have been set up in such a way that theres only one possible speed at which you'll make all the green ones - twice the limit. I noticed that if I drive conservatively at 70 in a 70 zone, ill end up at the same light as the guy that did 90. I win because I used less fuel :spoton:

Chevy - It does seem like a rediculous rule to me too. But when your age starts affecting your vision and in turn making you a dangerous driver I would happily hand over my license to avoid killing a 5 year old walking to school.

Talking about older people not being allowed to drive or willingly handing over their license is moot. You will never know until that day comes, wait and see. One thing is certain, you will not feel the way you do about many things as you do today, ask anyone who has been there.

One thing I guarantee is it won't be as easy as you think it will be when in your 20's.
Luckily at this stage I can still legally drive without glasses and I agree remembering one has to wear glasses when driving will be quite something else.

Sorry Rory, I think I beat you again.
< 10 seconds from leaving my driveway to being pulled over, and I certainly don't shit in my own nest :)

JBird - you could have just rolled back into them :)
They shouldn't be that close and so at fault; not to mention, all damage would point to the cop running up your ass :P

People who sit so close at traffic lights annoy me, last thing I need is for someone to run up their ass and push the car behind me into me - oh well, they'll cop a towbar before my bumper anyway; they can enjoy the damage that will cause :)

lmao out of your drive way. I should've just slid back, no doubt that will NOT be happening again.

Well got my manual license today, passed 100%.
So :tease: to any cop that pulls me over. :spoton: :D
