I shall update with some specifics, picks, and a bit more info a bit later, as the dogs annoying me about taking her for a walk.

Ooooh yeah. One of those cars that is absolutely beautiful when you get it right, and really punishes you when you get it wrong.

Seeing though i probably have less than 15 minutes in the seat under my belt i get it wrong more often than right, as the vid shows.

Cheers.

Yeah i forgot to get onto this last night.

Its a class A/R special.

The thing that makes the noise is a ca18e (pre dohc one) with a gt30 grafted onto it, with a nissan pintara transaxle, subframe, suspension struts and brakes all sitting in the boot.

Chassis is just 50mm shs mostly.

Front end is what i like to call "Frankenfront", corolla lcas, stubs and brakes with home made ucas, irs commy rear springs and patrol shocks.

Mini body slid over that and away we go.

Shes pretty ratty, paint and panel are atrocious, and the whole girl is pretty over engineered and a bit heavyer than she needs to be, but i dont really care as shes a barrel of fun, and i got her for $3600.

Done a bit of work to her so far, moved the drivers seat around so i somewhat fit, and fried the clutch in the last run of that vid so need to pull her apart now, but thus far pretty happy.

Willget some picks up tonight when im on the puta.

Cheers.

Hokay, phootas.

I did say i was gonna get some....

Under the Bonnet houses the fuel tank, brake, clutch, and handbrake master cylinders, and the like.

8F4C346E-03CE-4ECB-A9A9-9B6A31794ABD_zps

And where the rear seats should be is the noisy thing.

27DB2E16-C4F4-4794-95F1-0BA8C25AE322_zps

4CDC6690-923E-418D-8B1A-D6C59F405651-387

1CFFE0DB-3C0D-445F-B465-B0ACDFE8E988_zps

First job i had to do when i got it was move the seat as far down and back as i could get it to help me fit, they used to sit level.

8234E7E6-5157-4735-B994-1E7550D256C4_zps

And i had to get the pedals away from me a bit as well, the brake was at an alright height, just to far away from the accelerator pedal, so i pulled it out and bent it over about 70mm. Then i made up a ratio changer box thingamajig for the accelerator pedal to double the pedal ratio, and halve the travel.

B660EA4E-F4A4-4578-B1BC-91BC7AB5788E_zps

Just a play on linkage ratio's, works nicely.

One pedal i didnt get around to moving was the clutch, probably half the reason i fried it, would have been subconciously riding it because of how far i need to lift my leg up to get right off it. So its high on the list. Will get the master cylinder taken out a few sizes and the slave sleved down a few sizes and try to halve the ratio of it as well.

F07845DA-EBFB-4E3C-9C2E-99C357E7A7CA_zps

You can see there how much higher than the brake it sits, i want it the same height or a little lower than the brake pedal.

I also brought a butterfly style steering wheel release from the US, to make getting in and out a bit easyer, im 6'1" remember.

Will fit this at some stage.

Appropriate sticker

Just looking at the thing amuses me, its so silly looking.

On the car trailer puts it in perspective a bit how short it is.

Now i suppose i should be not lazy and pull the real camera out to get some proper picks one day, phone is pretty crappy but oh so convenient....

Oh well, have fun.

Cheers.

Based on the Nissan R31 style Pintara engine just a slightly smaller capacity.

Yeah dont worry im mumbling and grumbling about a few things.

Nissan.

4 cylinder.

8 plugs.

Only a gt30.

Internally gated.

There the main things that go against my grain.

But, alas, i've never been one to put my prejudices infront of fun....

Cheers.
