Awesome.
I've seen a few on Youtube with Hondas and motorbike engines.

Yeah over in the UK they can be legally registered, Vtec Honda engines, both the four and v6, plus various bike engines are common. Hell even a few of the Diesel FWD platforms are being adopted.

There basically a Z chassis, and they call them "Midis"

Hence my name for this one "Mindi"

Cheers.

Got this thing back together about a month ago, done two more events in it since....Have go pro footage, but need to go buy a new ext hard drive to get them onto the puter as current ones are chockers.....

Heres a teaser pick from the weekend just gone, getting a lot more confident in the car, bit crossed up here...Yeehaaaa.

Yeah short wheelbase wouldn't help with that, but you're only going to get better at driving it and setting it up, so spins will turn into powerslides and glory!!!

When is the 202 going in?

Break out the bandsaw and slice one hole off the 202 and make it a 5 cylinder. All the extra room you need, and still boat-anchory enough to make everyone happy. :P :D

A transverse mounted 202 into mindi = wheelstander!
You got any plans to update the ca18 that's in it to anything other than a 202??
Which of course would be my preference too..

Or would more power make it end up like Brocky's A30, just a pig to drive.

Its actually a CA20, as i discovered when i had the engine out.

Unless the frOcking thing blows up, im content with it.

Have been tempted to cable tie two extra pistons and rods in there somewhere linear to the engine just so its kinda an inline six though haha.

Actually keeping an eye out for whole U12 pintaras, CA20 five speed jobs, on the local for sale sites seeing if i can get a spare everything for a few hundred bucks and scrap the rest.....

A knee way, finally got a new hard drive, and transferring files to free up space atm. Should have some room to play with recent vids tomorrow hopefully.

Cheers.

Nothing wrong with a CA in that body

Good idea to pick up some spares

The only problems with the CA are:

Its a Nissan engine.

It has four cylinders.

It has eight spark plugs.

Most of these things are terrible IMO :P

Na, jokes aside, im happy with how it goes, CA20 and GT28 seem to work well together.

Vid from Saturday is uploading....All i could be #@$^%& editing/uploading tonight.....Just a clip of my best run....

And its live.

I would like some opinions on editing, if possible? Be honest.  WAs my first go at slicing two vids together, think i got the changover points pretty good but could be better.

Basically, is it an ok vid to watch, or is it shit and i shoulda just thrown up the two full vids back to back like i did the drift vid?

Would like to get Sundays vid a bit better, and with the event i ran in before that one, it was the same format as the first vid in this thread, i think instead of lumping together a 10 minute video i might just make up a 2 minute mashup of corners and skids and fun shit over the whole day, opinions on this idea?

Also, im only posting the two best runs from the two day event last weekend, but im thinking of doing a "bloopers reel", a 2 minute or so bang together of all my frOckups from the weekend, recon that would be an ok watch?

Cheers.

I dont really use the foot brake, though i would probably go faster if i did hold the throttle a bit longer and use it.

Looks like awesome fun.

You drive good DJ. Mindi looks like she's pretty well setup from the video...

WRT the video. I like how it's spliced, nice and simple - unpretentious. Nothing shits me more than tossers who put stupid sound tracks on all their videos when as a viewer all I want to do is hear the car talking....tyre squeal, engine revs, gear changes, wind noise etc :)

Probably more interested in the forward roof view but still a cool thing.

Post up more :D

You know what bomber, that actually looks really fun, and fast! Good stuff.
Looks like it handles ok to me, or is that just the driver??

Its all the car. All the driver has done is get himself comfortable in the seat and try to learn what the car is going to do.....and how to react.

Notes taken on editing, will try to get one or two more vids up tomorow.....
