Look, I am not attacking you.

I have accounts with Rocket, Precision, Nasons, VPW, Austral etc. I know the prices from all of them, They are only $136 cheaper than buying direct from you.

It is still cheaper to buy them overseas and get them here. The USA sellers still have to ship them in and make a profit before they sell to us.

I speak to people all the time who have direct contact with you and they say they have brought this subject up numerous times with no change happening.

I am not going to talk about this subject any longer, I am out. But I leave one last thought, don't forget where Dyno Dave started and don't forget the little people!

   Rod.

No worries Rod, thanks for the feedback.

I know its an issue and it is being addressed. The how and when of it all is something that upper management are doing, its beyond me.

Dave does still drop by about once a week, after all we are still in the same building! :)

I am considering the ally 12 port, but I need the small chamber so would be welding them up. Would you supply me a raw casting so I can do the machine work?

I personally dont need an alloy 12 port but for the benefit of those that do.
They obviously sell and people are needing them.

How about considering moving the valves in a tad and offering rockers to suit.
There wont be that much offset involved moving both ends on the rocker a bit.

And why not offer them in a semi-finished state, some people like to do their own thing.

my excuse to post something here.

How bare are you talking? Without valve guides or anything? May be possible in the next run of heads...

But the closed chamber version is more likely

Moving the valves in would require a new casting, highly unlikely. We do offer a bare version, and are considering a 'semi finished' as in no valve seats cut or anything

BW yella Terra

i would be interested in high comp semi finished casting.

suggestion has been to use JZED casting but does not look original at a glance.

am currently using Black 173 small chamber casting as base  _valve guide centre lines moved towards centre & towards spark plug side of chamber and canted 2.5 deg ( all helps with cyl shrouding),( SB chev length springs& pro flow 7mm cut down valves) BB chevy rockers,( were using cleveland ) Roller cam/ offset lifters, spark plug repositioned, 14.2:1 making 279 rwhp @ 8000 on E85 ( a lot of work to be limited by casting thickness @ ports )

this currently on revisited 6 cyl engine we did with support from ACL years ago when racing HQ class ( 9 port head no porting, std intake, std carb, spec cam as per HQ racing rule book 163 rwhp @ 7000 as measured on Dyno Dynamics 4WD dyno) for use in new lighter class car.

a huge amout of hours, heads and cut and try that would see some extra return with a better raw casting base to work with. ( this is not a paying customer but for family member - Love ?  stupidity ? a challenge ? - who knows )

Hi Brenton,

As per my post earlier in this thread, has the YT platinum design been correct to fix the wipe pattern issues?  You may be able to 'get away' with how it is, but it's not right, and not really something you'd expect on bank new $2000 head fitted with $1000 worth of brand new rockers.

Or were you just here to sell stuff?

Cheers.

Hi Guys,

First post for me, and I wanted to chip in regarding the flow figures for these heads.. Have just spent a couple of days fiddling one to get these results.. Its a medium amount of work, but only working on a medium sized budget too..

yella terra once apon a time did make a closed chamber head and they are out thier if you look. I have 2 of them

Not sure if this is widespread knowledge, but when I was browsing round YellaTerra the other day I saw that they are still selling the high comp 12 ports... I know they stopped making them for a while but they're back.

Its probably common knowledge but meh, its new to me lol

Good to see; think about the alloy heads for just about every V8, where you simple would't bother spending heaps of money playing around with the old iron heads and use a head that's lighter better and maybe even for around the same amount of money.

regards

That's new to me too, last I saw they were only doing 56 and 72cc heads. Very interesting......

Hi All,

Has anyone tried one of these 48CC yella terra 12 port roadracer heads ? and does anyone know of how much flow you can get out of these with some extra specialist porting ?

Cheers
