Ok thats enough for today as Dad is tired
Had to do a dummy fit up of the new panels and was quite happy.
Lots of refinement and measuring etc to go but it was enough to make me smile

That's sure to get the motivational juices flowing James.
Good to see you getting back into it, I was worried you had lost interest.

Coming together nicely James,
Very straight looking panels will impress.

Good work james..
Make sure you mount your bonnet/doors first and line everything up to that.. Aline/centre the bonnet with your window cowl about 5mm,,,, Then aline the guards then the nose cone. gor for 3-5mm gaps all round... Make sure as it will be out if you dont.. and get the lines right on the guards..dont worry abot the door gaps yet..fix later..
you will find the front beaver will need some juggling.. do that last after RAD and guards are held in place.. Use pop riverts as tech screws move..
the front bit of the inner guards.. you should be able to make some bits.. its only an angle to hold the RAD support.. If stuck..I might have some..

Fair enough, I can't think of many better reasons.
My car gets the missus off the couch sometimes but I don't know that it helps anything, usually just leads to an argument lol
I can't complain though, she's been awesome lately including helping with the car.
I bet that 262 goes alright in the green thing.
We'll have to line yours and mine up one day and see how sh!t my paint job really is haha.

Hi Craig it goes not to bad
It would be cool to put our cars side by side to see the difference in colour
Dad painted my one Panama green with no black tinter in it

Hi Marty yep missed out on that bit its at the snap yard now I just keep finding little bits
I have been doing a bit more on the Purr Pull one lately, have been out driving the green one a bit to much in the good weather.
Test fitted the passenger side guards etc after re building the A pilar and sill panels needs a bit more tweaking to get my gaps right as the rare spares front guard sits out from the door edge by 1 to 2 mill

It’s been quite a while since I have done any work on the car.
Now that I am in my 3rd year as an apprentice sparky I have been flat out at work and when I have had the time well I just have not had the cash to spend on stuff for the car.
Dad got me some rust panels from Rare Spares so I got stuck into replacing the LHS of the boot. I also cut off the beaver panel as it was full of rust.
The inner panel is a bit messy underneath so will have to grind it all back and make up some patches. Going to Dicandilo’s this afternoon to get some 1mm plate not sure which one is the best either zinc anneal or cold rolled steel.
Will put up some pics as they are “in progress not finished pics”, and it is my first rebuild go easy on my welding lol, welding can be quite tricky especially when you are just a sparky.

Bit of strike me pink under there ?
Good to see its still progressing
Come wire up my shed if you want some cash... lol

Hi Neil, It's getting there slowly.
Think the original colour under the silver is Purr Pull ?
When I am qualified only to happy to come and wire the shed
