Is this a disassemble most of front suspension job Chopper?

Id also check tie rod's and rack ends for movement can also lead to this problem

Never done it on an LJ. Hopefully undo the nuts at both ends and it should slide out. A hammer may be required.

Chopper, i have the LC Workshop manaul here in front of me and i can't find the caster bar. I am not familiar with the names of all the front suspension componets, but is the think you are calling the caster bar also called the control rod?

The thing that is bolted to the lower control arm between the stub axel and the spring and goes back to the crossmember brace? You mean the bushes and tub through the crossmember brace need replacing?

That's the one. The biggest problem I found with them is the crush tube is missing. This can lead to excesive loads on the bar. Do that to an XR - XF Foulcan and they can break. I've replaced the broken ones, so I know it can happen.
