of most likely gave it a bash.i think that brown dr was most likely made on a friday haha.they are hard to get off the

skins without damaging them especially at the top where they are braised on.this skin was braised about 5'' along the

edge of skin where they have bent the lip over.might see it in pic,its above the line on rhs.im actually glad ive done this

Have you thought about cutting off the top hinge barrel and rewelding in place?

I tend to get a .8mm cutting disc.. cut the hinge barrel, but leave it attached a little at the top. then reposition and weld back... Makes it a bit hard when the guard is on, but can be done...

Also, I had a quick look on ebay.. It seems those pliers I bought aint there any more..

yeah i did think of that mike but wondered how the hell was i going to line the dr up....but now i know how you have done it with the

guard off.probably in the too hard basket for me haha

how did you unpick the dr skin off from that piece  where the butterfly window frame lays in.to take the other panel off

im going to cut that piece off then just trim the piece off it.ive noticed on your thread that you got to the inside of it lol

how did you manage that mike, is there a trick

cheers

If you mean the metal strip with the oval holes for the belt weatherstrip clips then yes it is an integral part of the door skin.

kool.was looking at the crs's dr skins and couldnt see the inside.but from outside view they have what seems like a heap

of spot welds running along the top.like as if they have spotted that piece on.well that makes me feel better she has offered

it to me for a couple hundred bucks

I have had the same problem with torana doors not fitting right.

If you jack up the side of the car and place a wooden block or similar under the rear of the door that has dropped, then simply let the jack down , go a little at a time until it fits properly.

You have to take it past the point where it fits by a fair amount because when you let the jack down the door will drop back to the position it was.
