I find microfiber scratches.
A soft high quality terry toweling towel will work much better than microfiber IMO. Detailers used them for years.

Yeah, I still find the chamois the fastest, most thorough and gentlest for drying a car to a streak free finish..

Chamois are an animal in their own right. More goat than deer. Native to Europe but they are in NZ and still hunted for their skins.

My repco chamois works great.
No idea if its synthetic, but I think it is 😳
I just use the Meguires wash. It's not great for tar removal but does leave the paint nice and shiny.
