hi everyone im trying to find some information
my grandfather owns a 1977 lx slr custom (not a slr 5000) its a 4 speed 3.3 and im wanting to know how many of these were made and how many were shipped to each state my grandfather bought his from the show room floor and is the only owner in its life and is all original except a set of mags and I cant even find another one the same on the net anywhere help me please.

S, SL, & SL/R are just model variants like Executive, Berlina & SS Commodores.
I have seen the odd SL/R3300 around but they are pretty thin on the ground. I'd think anyone paying for a new SL/R would've coughed up the extra few bucks and ordered the V8?
I'm not sure if you'll get the sales figures you're after on an LX, apparently all those records were stolen from GMH decades ago, or so the story goes?

Yeah sounds like a SLR3300.
How many were made, not sure, not that many.
I might be interested in it if its for sale.

Sounds like it is an SL/R 3300 that your pop optioned (custom order) up and looks like might now be in your possession 
They are a bit thin on the ground so I hope it remains as per original specs

I knew a bloke who had a white LH SL/R with a 3300 in it back in the 80s it was a 4 speed with front and rear spoilers on it, he was the original owner and he ordered it that way. People always asked him why he didn't get the 5000 and he said he didn't want the V8, most people thought he was mad. That must be a pretty rare combination and a 1 owner now that is rare.

Hey guys thanks alot it does have a 3.3 and it will never leave our family but I have never seen another in tas and was curious as to the information on them he was offered a huge number for it but showed them what a gate was lol. I do have a photo if someone has a number I can text it to and tell me some info on would be muchly appreciated
