I know it's a bit weird. Still don't know if to keep going or not. I don't know if I like it or not. It has its pros and cons.

I do and don't like it. It's slowly growing on me.
I like the the disc etc stand out more. The look of the car is odd but hey for a original SS it very odd anyways lol.
I've never been one for the factory look as you can tell.
If I don't like it in time. The black will peel off leaving the chrome as it was.

Just doesn't look right.
All peeled off back to chrome.
I'll give plastidip a plug.
That stuff is awesome, very strong and tough coating that peels off leaving no marks At all. I'd highly recommend it's use for wheels or anything you want to coat with a rubber type texture. Great stuff.

Those centres look like they were copied from a pressed steel water pump impeller.

Plastidip is sprayed on Brad just like paint in a spray can.

Only difference is you need to remove it before the paint dries. Also remove tape at right angles to the edge of the paint if that makes sense.? So it doesn't lift the plastdip.
Applied by giving the surface a good clean with acetone. Then mask off where you don't want to paint. No need to tape off the tyre as this will just peel off once it dries.
Apply first coat as a tack coat (lite mist coat). Wait until it's dull. 10 15 mins. Then apply the 2nd and 3rd coats also waiting untill dull between coats. wet. The wetter you get the flatter the finish is. The thicker u paint it the better it wears.

Never though of that. I should seal her up and make it water worthy. No need for a propeller. Lol

Actually, after that smart arsed comment, they did look better, wonder what they would have looked like with red rim blades.

All the colours you guys are throwing around are horrible. Just paint them green and be done with it.
