F1 cars run 55 series tyres as per regulations

My point being it isn't relavent to the discussion. F1 cars must run 300 wide front and 330 wide rear tyres (and 12" and 13.8" wide rims) as per regulations. The relatively tall 55 profile is needed as the sidewall deflection accounts for over 50% of the suspension travel. This discussion is about meeting a slightly different set of regulations. If somebody is modifying a Torana suspension so it works the same way as an F1 car, by all means throw it in as a comparison.
