Would some one pay 100k for it i seriously doubt it very much at the end of the day it is a GTR
but having said that i do hope it is worth that
same old story its worth what someone is willing to pay for it
it is after all a piece of GMH history
maybe it belongs in a museum

What's it worth to the right collector? Probably a lot. What's it worth to a scrap merchant? Bugger all. I think it really depends on who you ask and for insurance purposes your asking an insurance company.

At the end of the day can you really expect to be compensated for the history of the vehicle that never actually made it to the history books?

Isn't that the entire, single point of this conversation ?

I dont think so, no.

Your daughter is probably worth 20k on the black market.

So thats all she's worth?

Probably worth even less depending on the country but you're comparing oranges and apples; how often have you heard; how do you put a price on life?

At least in the United States, "the value of a statistical life turns out to be around $5 million,"  However, when a soldier is killed in Iraq, "the government pays the family $600,000"

Exactly my point, you can't compare it to another GTR or car for that matter; unless there's another pre-production race model that most people don't know exists. Insurance assessors can only use existing cars that are insured as a benchmark or lick their thumb and put it to the wind to come up with a price; it's what we in estimating call 'thumbing', lol.

It's why I'm suggesting that Al increase awareness among the gen. pop; if it becomes 'famous' he could be on the way to achieving 6 figures.

The GTR is insured in the Layed Up mode as it is not Registered and I am sorting out the things that need fixing (Small things) We agreed on a price as it's in a Layed up mode and as a LJ GTR like this has not hit a Auction environment to judge the value by Collectors it is hard to put a price on it. Historically it's priceless as the same as a Phase 4 Falcon is as well.
