Whoops found more boot photos. Wasn't happy with the boot floor still, metal a bit thin and a few rust holes.
Easy fix, just cut it all out!

Next to the roof aerial. They looked great in the 80's (or so we used to think), I'm going back to the guard aerial so the hole is welded up.
It's interesting looking at the paint layers on the car as I sand it back, originally Cyan, then red, and back to Cyan again

Now the real fun began. Rusty bottom of passenger side guard cut away to reveal, you guessed it, more rust!
Out comes the rusty metal, more fabrication

Now for the drivers side sill and lower front guard

Front quarter panels next

More work on the sill, and a small section inside the A pillar

Satin black inside the boot. I had the paint matched to the boot torsion springs. They looked to have never been repainted

One I have, there are holes drilled on the in the top of the sills on my car.
Is this standard on an LJ? Holes for applying rust proofing? Holes to lighten the body as this is a special one of none ever made Bathurst GTR?
