I have a decent original Twist-and-Pull handle here that I'm happy to sell, if you need it.

Thanks Heath,

I think I'll wait until it turns up.

I know I put it somewhere.

Thanks for the offer.

Mick from Torana Restoration Parts may know the answer to this question.

Hi Guy's,

could anyone let me know how many bows are there for the roof lining please.

One of the bows I have is about half the thickness of the other bows I have.

Would this be one of the bows or just a piece of wire.

Regards Mando.

Hi Jeff. I only had 2 rods and some wire in mine but I also had a sunroof. Check the holes in the inner side to see where they can be located. That should give you clue. I'm not sure but I think the "wire" runs along the very back and fits under the two tabs. Cheers Ron

According to the cattledog there are 4 "Wires", the first & third (counting from the front) are identical, and both the second & forth are unique...

Unfortunately I can't tell you any more as it's been decades since I've physically looked at the wrong side a Torana headlining but I'm sure somebody here will know which are which.

I’m guessing it will be one that is supported by tabs on the body. Usually where there is a support brace for the roof panel and to mount interior light, and/ or at the hatch opening. Not talk8ng about hatches specifically, of which I have no clue, but old cars in general from experience.

Thanks everyone, I never thought to look at the body for tabs.

You should have three rods, two match and one odd one (the different length one on a hatch is not common with a sedan headliner).

The rods reach between the holes in the cant rails.

Then there are spots where the roof support/s have the row of sharp little triangles punched out, this is where the thinner wire goes.

Thanks Heath,

I hope the guy doing the interior can do something with the thin wire.

It actually looks like junk.

Just replace it with some fat stainless wire if you want something that is less shitty looking.

Greetings Gentleman,

can anyone let me know if the instrument fascia [the one with the cigarette lighter] can be installed before

the hard vinyl / plastic piece that runs along the top of the dash then runs down on both sides next to the side vents.

Regards Mando.

The thing on the top (that runs down the sides) is called the "crash pad" and I prefer to take it off before playing with the rest of the dash fascia.

turns out the instrument panel wouldn't fit between the

lower panel and the crash pad so I had to remove it first.

Is that a repro fascia? A friend of mine had the same problem.

Hi Brad,

the slide control panel and the ashtray fascia are from Rare Spares,

the rest have been reconditioned by dash original.

They also reconditioned the lower dash panel and the dash pad.

They did an amazing job, the only thing left to be done is the centre console.

Regards Mando.

Hi Jeff. Looking good. I have just fitted mine up and realised that there are two rubber bumpers either side for the glovebox and one goes in from the back. I found with the right hand side one (looking at it) that I couldn't fit it with the gauge cluster fascia in place. Cheers Ron

Yeah the cluster section was a repro that a friend had and it wouldnt fit between the top and bottom of the dash panel.

Thanks Cook,

I was going have a look at the glove box this weekend.

Sounds like the rubber bumpers are going to be one problem but the bigger problem for me,

is I have to cut down the bottom of the card box that sides into the glove box

to accommodate the top of the air conditioner, the ducts that run to the vents and wiring looms.

A question I hope someone might be able to answer is...

I have green tinge glass all around but I still need to buy the front glass.

I can get a front screen that is clear OR I can get a screen with a green tinge,

but it has sun visor band across the top in the glass.

I'm looking to make my car look look as close to a A9X.

Any thoughts

Regards Mando.

This is the "new" A9X. (Which I believe is in the eastern states now)  It looks clear to me, and no sun strip either.
