I've got the same thing planned, but not for a few more years.
Got a few photos that I found interesting, although some of them don't really tell you heaps about the setup. Enjoy

Interested in seeing what other people come up with as well

Was considering doing this, may still do it, but to a Rover 3.5L V8 to keep it under 6.0L with 1.7 forced induction multiplier. Best set up I saw was to use two left standard V8 CI headers, allows plumbing to pass back round the front of the engine, or to fit the V8 CI headers to opposite sides.

Just an idea, NFI if it works or not.

EDIT: Oh, must work, that's how it is done on the engine in Struggler's post, CI manifolds to opposite sides.

Kinda like the look of the set-up that struggler posted, can you imagine trying to change the plugs on the others!!! Have to be one of those backyard rescue jobby's, where you go away for a weekend and come back and it's all done for you.

Mate I'd love to do it also, then again I'd like to do lots of things. But I'll reckon I'll save the forced induction not for a 5 litre but 5.7 (read VX Clubsport)

Peace,

I made that myself. A bolt went straight thru to the head, made a support bracket to suit and redrilled the adjuster. Obviously required a shorter belt.

I was originally looking at doing a 308, but now I have started planning for a chev, its so much cheaper/easier to set one of them up for forced induction

i have started the pipe setup and decided to set it up the the old 80's kits. i have plumbed the right bank cast manifold to the left from the outlet and come out the front of the left cast manifold(cut/drill a hole). my question is what size pipe should i use from the front of the manifold to the turbo. have at the moment 2in outside dia and 1.84 inside dia but i am thinking that it is a bit to small and restrictive. my other option is to use 2.5in outside and 2.35 inside dia the only problem is that i dont want to lost to much air speed. also the hole in the manifold is bigger than the inside dia because of the angle of the hole. any help would be great thanks!

the crossover (between the 2 exhaust manifolds) pipe should be around 2.25 to 2.5 inch

Mine was the 50mm OD steam pipe. Keep the exhaust gas speed up !!!

A 2" pipe from either side of the engine to the turbo will easily support 600hp.

i love the setup with the cross over pipe from the right bank and joining on the left, it makes it look so simple im thinking of doing it myself.
