Can someone please check which position on the washer/wiper switch is the inlet and which is the outlet. Due to the internal check valves having perished many years ago I'm using aquarium air pump check valves fitted to the hoses so it's not as simple as filling up the washer bottle and testing it. I could easily mix up the orientation of the valves too.
Thanks.

If you remove the pump/switch out of the car , you can put the rubber tubes on the inlet and outlet , connect the small aquarium valves on the tubes , place one of the tubes in a container of water and pump away. You can play with the valves to work out how they go doing this.

Take the little perished valves with the springs out altogether, you can buy the larger cup type valve from Rare Spares . Cheers Paul.

Thanks guys.
I've got the Rare's reproduction diaphragm fitted and the old valves removed already.

I recall reading about the electric pump and switch conversion that Rodomo (sorry if I spelt that wrong) did, but I'll keep mine as the manual pump type. I'll probably never use it but I like everything to work.
