Yeah Ryan got that perfect in no time. But the top coat I squirted on didn't turn out as well.

Michael that sounds sweet mate, hope you don't mind me being mildly intoxicated at that point? Gotta make the most outta my formal haha

Matt they are actually on properly. I was so eagerly awaiting bolting that shit on that I had already cleaned up all the bolts and shit before the body was even ready for it. Nosecone is in primer, bonnet and cowl are in top coat but I am not happy with them. Guards are not ready yet. Not a priority right now. Mum will never get the carport back. I will just move the Torana out and bring in another project. lol

FOUND MY STRIKERS THIS ARVO! w00000. Couldn't put them in though because the retard who owned the car last decided to paint the door jams (black lmao) without removing the strikers so I just cleaned the paint off them and will put them in tomorrow.

Connected up some of my exterior handles (were rusted to the adjusting mechanisms so i spent ages freeing them up and working out how all that worked. Will do the rest tomorrow as well.

Painted the top of the dash too.

I need to start putting the headlining and pillar trims in, but I don't know any techniques and feel like 'experimenting' would be a bad idea in the long run haha. Anyway got homework to do so I better finish this post up here.

Assembled the heating ducts etc today, did a few little things behind the dash and painted some more shit. Got all the strikers in and some more locking linkages so the doors are opening, closing and locking now. Yay

Bit by bit...

Yes this thread will get past 50 pages before I get a roadie probably haha. Not something I really care about.

As the car sits now, it's got nice thick sound deadener, covered in nice thick carpet underlay, covered by nice thick black carpet :)

Installed all the pillar trims and the headlining. Looks pretty good, especially with the black pinchwelds I put on, and the black carpetted parcel shelf I installed.

Half my seatbelts are in and I'm having an issue with the parcel shelf belt mounting points... I really need two massive washers (not any sort of factory item but I will browse through random washer collections and try and find something suitable even if I have to modify it); not sure what I will do with them right now but I'll have a look at the situation in greater detail tomorrow. I would prefer to fix this up before I put the rear screen in the car.

Come end of tomorrow I should have all the seatbelts and seats in and I don't know what I will start working on lol. Then I will try and sort out my windows.

I feel great. I'm gonna go out and sink some piss at a mate's 18th. Cheers

Nice work Heath, the cars looking good and I'll bet turning up to the formal in the GTR was mega cool. Better than being dropped off by a parent in the family car.

I can second that Mick... Last year I got dropped off in an SL/R 5000 with a convoy of Toranas and a Monaro, and this year I rocked up in my mate's mum's Pajero... I think you should be able to work out which one was cooler!

Hope you had a good night Heath, and didn't drink too much amber fluid :D What am I saying, there's no such thing as too much :P
