OMFG Heath! I feel for you mate, I know you've put everything into that car... :(

I'm just glad you weren't seriously hurt or raped by the cops.

You got a good attitude mate, I know you'll get back on the horse (or in the shed more appropriately) and build something else.

PS: Those LX single skin bonnets really do fold up!

Sooooooooo is that freshly rebuilt LSD going to a good home? lol

lol it is up for sale if someone puts a decent offer down, but it wasn't a cheap or quick exercise to build, and I'm not desperate to get rid of it because I can just use it in the blue car :P

Hyundais are designed so the engine falls down to help cushion the impact, i dont know if i like that idea.

Or maybe that's just their excuse for shit falling apart badly in an accident haha

Yes LH SLR 3300 the engine did move back and bend the firewall, but I would say it would have moved fair a bit further/harder on the gold car

I think the idea of the Hyundai engine moving downwards in a head on is a whole lot preferable to it coming into the firewall and crushing your legs.

Car was picked up this morning and it's being towed to its new home in Gippsland. A forum member has bought the shell and will be using the rear cut to repair his LH which has been hit.

Even in its skeleton state it was still pretty sad watching it getting towed out of sight.

I missed the whole saga as it unfolded Heath (but just spent the last 10 mins catching up...... takes us QLD'ers awhile hehehehe).

Very sad to see your pride and joy punched in the face but on the flipside, very happy to hear you are around to tell the story.

Looks like a little bit of BBQ 202 will live on in several Toranas which is great to see. Even better is your "Live and Learn" attitude mate.

I hope all is tracking well for you.

Stay Cool,

T
