never had tripples on my 6, as everyone was saying "they constantly need tuning" etc, went for a 465 holley and got it dyno tuned, and i love it, good fuel economy compared to the WW stromberg i had before it.

seems everyones changed their tune about the reliability of tripples......

having said that, my EFI 5L is more efficient than the holley+worked 202, (think toranaz figuers are slightly optimistic.....) is it because of the 5th gear in the box, might be, but it is signifactly more economical.

my 2 cents.

cheers
john

On my old LX 202 Racecar, with the 350 Holley on it I could pull 5200 in top gear down the straight, bolted on a set of triple SU's, no tuning, no other changes, pulled 5600 at the next meet.

I have tripple 1.5su's on a little 186 and would have to say its really good on fuel, 80L gets me from sydney to wakefield and by the end of the third session its needs a top up and its buzzing almost 3000 heading down.

Ash.
