Shit! Runs crap with the colder plugs...hard to start cold/idle is all over the place....think I have a dud or broken plug somewhere..will check the timimg but might move back to the warmer plug...at least it ran fine with them. also runs hotter with these new ones..

DOH!! Forget that...think I found my problem...I bought a new timing light to do "0" at 3000rpm...I set it at 32 degrees...and didnt check it...just looked at it ..its sitting on 40 degrees....Will try again tomorrow...
Idiot!!

Amazing what correct timing does...was out about 8/10 degrees..reset it and it just dropped to a perfect idle.....couldn't get a reading properly on my brand NEW $120 timing light so I pulled out the old trusty 30 year old one...32 degrees @ 3000rpm...spot on!!...The new one goes back tomorrow.!

Thats it..Done and dusted..cant do any more so guess I am ready...just need to pump up the slicks through the week and away we go.

3 days 18 hours to go...
Just started it from cold to make sure all is ok now,..Fired first hit and immediately sat at a beautiful 1,100rpm idle. ....Thats fixed that bit of paranoia..

Quick check...diff is dead silent now...lovely...I have 4.1 degree neg on the passenger side and 3.5 neg on the drivers side..was going to even them up but Russell Stuckey from Dunlop says I need about 3-4 neg anyway due to the radial slicks and to leave it as it is as it will suit Speed on Tweed being mostly right handers..he says it will steer like a go cart....Oh Yeah!

Spoke to C Bond, he doesnt hve a race suit but Rocket got in his ear about driving thecar and we are trying to borrow a suit from Kris Wheeler, she makes them, He said no dramas driving the car in the parade lap on the weekend but after talking to John Bowe I think he has got all keen about doing a "demo" run in the car....will keep you informed.
