Yes, keep going and don't worry about tiny mistakes! Nobody but you will know and given time even you will forget. It's better to have something less than perfect but finished than to have something that is perfect but will never be finished.

Thanks for the kind words.
The front guard was riddled with runs (I wasn't patient with setting up my gun, I gave it a squirt on the test paper and proceeded to paint, not realising the test spray was dripping after I turned around - lol damn)
So after the first coat I had two options, to stop, sand and repaint, or to continue smashing on the colour and do some surface correcting during the cut and buff stage. I went with option number 2!
What a success! I used the fine filler trick on all spots that had runs (yes there was alot) and it came out looking reaaalll good.. Probably the flattest, deepest panel on the car!
The bonnet had it fair share of issues too! Straight up I had some craters/ fish eyes forming. I lightly dusted my next coat and continued to give the bonnet a few more heavy coats. I didn't get any runs, but I got some nice build (I was always planning on machining the surface from the top down as I feel the bonnet is one of the most important panels for that wow factor!) Once I completed my coats whatever craters were still visible after that (there was only 6ish) I dabbed some paint in those spots and left the panel to dry for a couple of weeks. This is the result of some colour sanding and buffing.
and some putting together shots. I forgot how simple UC's actually are

I haven’t abandoned this project, I’ve actually been filming my progress, you know, moving with the times.
I got some camera gear late last year for a media based project I was doing with someone, then randomly decided to bring the camera into the shed and started rolling.
First few videos were finding my feet, getting used to talking to no one and playing with some filming and editing techniques. I have recently posted my first progress video, as in, a video of me actually doing some work on it.
If you want to check them out, feel free - it’s a bit of fun, I’m not going to say “don’t be harsh” because let’s face it, the internet is harsh and criticism is criticism. But I welcome feedback.
I just finished filming and editing the first start video - but because of chronological order, it’s 3 weeks away.

She starts and runs!
Legitimately the first start ! Just a small hiccup with the constant 12V supply from the original loom to the corresponding wires on the ECU and also finding the correct wire that toggles the starter solenoid when the key is turned to START. Other than that no other problems.
Shout out to the hand written relay wiring diagrams provided to me by Greenmachine that was written by LXDAMO. After studying them for a looooong time, and taking a systematic approach it made sense in the end.
Currently working on the exhaust system - another learning process for me to get my head around.
Cheers
