so tate built it cool, but it still shouldnt have that much haze over the carbs. that certainly tells a story about the camshaft timing. lol

its a very sweet looking car i seen it in the flesh a fair while ago on a trailer heading up welshpool rd near kewdale road. very very nice

I always appreciate the feedback.

Go to do some more reading on the reversion and such,
took it for a quick blatt up the freeway today, very responsive.

Couple more fiddly bits and we are ready to hit the road again

Took her to the track last thursday evening.
Shakedown run after the cleanup post targa

Only got 11 laps in , we are leaking a touch of oil and need Datto to cast his eye over the brakes, but we kept some turbo ricers honest.
Kept 12 members of the HSV club honest too , with only two v8's posting faster times.
Quite happy considering.

In my opinion cars like this should be driven, and driven hard ! I'm sure Welby know's his limits in the car, considering the time and effort spent building and also the race hours he has now had behind the wheel. Glad to see it getting some decent driving, instead of sitting stagnant in a museum or a rich bloke's "investment" in a collection.

Well done.

Hatchback Torana's 2nd and 8th in their class.

Cumulative Result means Torana's where 11th and 24th in all classes.

Not too shabby for 30yr old cars up against high tech late model machines. :clap: :clap:

My son Mitch and i had a ball, we need to publicly thank Darren Ozyozyozy for his time and effort in spannering again.

This was the worst year of the last five for preparation and mechanical drama. Without Darren on sat & sun we never would have finished the event.
