ROh rims custom made with correct A9x offset ,17x12 rear 17x10 fronts , as they say the bars are an A9x race bar so they are then to suit big rubber ( 15x10s ) .
The bar could much better designed .
And springs are Bedford van...front A9X...rear.

I think from memory I have a Whiteline front mounted bar on my Race Car... I will get picks of it for you. I have used it in 11 events and so far all ok.

I have that exact type of bar from Micheal Wards car, I am running 9 1/4 rims on the front and have a lot of tyre clearance. It has the same adjustable eyelets with 4 drill holes on the bracket and 4 drill holes on the bar end for adjustment also.

Interesting discussion..He worked for KMAC for 10 years 20 years ago. He has a rear L34 set up he does on his L34/A9X race car that mounts in the std holes. Also says the Bedford springs are the go on the front.(Why didnt anyone tell us this before?)..He says if you use them..1100lbs...you only need a Whiteline or KMAC bar at 24mm...its perfect. Also says in racing conditions you would be advised to strengthen the lower arms as per XU1 as they flex there as well when the forces come down the drop link from the front bar..ALSO..(I asked a lot!)..The further the drop link is towards the rear of the bar the softer the settings so if you want to tight up the front more...you need to slide the adjustable slipper towards the radiator....and yes...that is the pic of the front of his race car as stated above..Whew!!..Think thats all I remember! REALLY nice bloke..very accomodating.Hope he comes on the site and has a yarn..he asked for the website address.

Hi guys
Thanks for all the info. Rory where is the best place to purchase the bedford style springs. What would this combo be like on the street. Would it be too stiff.
Thanks

Probably Bob..It is a race setup..For street just go with the Lovells/Kings std l34/A9X stuff. They are 800lbs and work well..the bedfords are 1100lbs..rock hard..but will handle great.

Hi Rorym
The car will see it'll street use. The car will mainly be used as a hill climb, time trail events and a little bit of drag racing. Will the 800lb with 24mm sway bar. Looking at running 250lb rears with a small sway bar. Will this set up suit my requirements.
Thanks

Correct, rear bar is about 20mm while front bar is 27mm . Springs sound correct, 840/280(ish).

Hi litre8
What sort of front sway bar do you have on your car. Is it a front mount and what brand makes a 27mm one. Otherwise how do you find the set up. Will it handle drag racing as well as street sprint and time trail events.
Thanks

Hi
Aren't both of those bars in that thread 24mm. I looked up on there websites and thats all that comes up. They both supply 24mm bars. Will one of the make a 27mm bar for me at the same price.
Thanks

Whiteline wanted $20 extra to do a 27mm to me...pay in advance and no return as it was special order..guess KMAC would be the same. You need to understand if you go harder on the front springs you only need the 24mm bar.

I had the 27mm bar custom made by Whiteline to the same shape as the original KMac one. Dont remember the cost (1991).
