After the L-O-N-G discussion about the shirts, I've come up with a sticker design using the same look as the shirts.

the "everything torana" forum

What do you all think?
(please keep to less than 10 pages!! he he he)

Having four styles/sizes/fonts on one sticker doesn't appeal to me. I think keep it as simple as possbile.

Basic i reckon! as simple as we can make it! a simple sticker saying gmh-torana.com would be more than adequate i believe

I agree with Matt, I perosnally reckon if were going ot stick with the "torana - 'To Fly'" motto then we should have that on the line above in nice font.. and GMH-TORNA.COM on teh line below.

My two cents.. i'll keep quiet now ;)

Having 'Torana' written twice in the same/similar texts and same/similar colour is not aesthetically pleasing, here's some i knocked up a few minutes ago.

I need C&C if I'm gonna get anywhere btw. I thought the red on black was a bit strong so I made that darker, maybe too much but it's a bit of an improvement.

Mmm I was suprised by how good looks considering how quickly I knocked it together. IMO the problem with it is that it's not Holden-ie (Okay I don't have any respect for Holden any more anyway, but it could really do with a symbol or something)

the plainer the better as it's easier on the eyes when on the road, and I prefer the black background as it blends in with tinted windows much better. Failing that the logo off the top of the page is as good as anything.

I believe unless the stickers are free we cant use the lion... however if one free sticker came with a shirt problem solved.

As if we can't print the old stickers and it's common courtesy to give the person you're buying it from $5 in an envelope as a donation to the site - Which it WILL be anyway.

I honestly think there's no reason not to do it. Those street performers say "The common donation is about $12" (my arse it is, but they use it and it gets some people). Everyone here is willing to contribute; and they're all prices that even I am willing to pay - now that's saying something.

EDIT: Luke, I'm quite fond of the HotHoldens.com sticker personally, but I get the impression most others here aren't. Ask around though... get some more opinions

The Hot Holdens sticker is just simple Vinyl cut out.

THeyre very neat, clean and easy to read, you can get them done in a variety of colours and theyre relatively cheap!

I can get my hands on those VERY cheap. Being in the industry and all.

If people want these i can have some of these made in various colours and even different sizes and then theyre free for us to sell how we like.

Ive spoken with LES from Rare Spares who was kind enough to contact Holden on our behalf. Weve gotto sign a formal agreement, but they have given us approval to use the lion logo if we DO NOT SELL THEM.

SO theyre the pros and Cons of using the logo, and its up to you guys. I'm more than happy to use simple vinyl stickers, theyre cheap and easy to do but dont look as flash as full coloured screen printed ones.

Over to you.

I think www.gmh-torana.com with a clear background and white font would be the best. Those ones that you peel one side off, stick it on and then peel the backing off to leave just the letters. Plain, simple, good looking.

That was what I had arranged to be done before the forum died. Then the forum died so it was up in the air as to go ahead or not so I scraped the plan.

Here here. I like the printed on clear idea. I'd take two... no wait... make that 4
(1 for each side window, 1 for the back window and 1 for the family truckster! Gotta spread the word) and I don't do stickers!

BTW: "When You're Hot, You're Hot" is owned by Todd Martin.
So no way can we use that............

Simple vinyl lettering sounds good.
Can they be small-ish? For a quarter window?
Or large size, only half windscreen width?

Grant..
