Found this profile when cruising around Myspace

This guy has what looks to be a original GTR and has fitted 20 inch rims on the back.

I love it and hate it at the same time, so many mixed emotions

Check out the pics

I know someone associated with the Sports Sedan I think. Don't know heaps about it but if it's somewhere around the Bendigo area then it's the one I'm thinking of. 308 powered and not much of the engine bay left :P

LC is MINT but I would never do it to a GTR.

PS: ADDED! lol

Memory is a little hazey, so I could be wrong. But,
The Sports sedan was on Ebay about a year ago and someone paid big bucks just for the Mawer Wheels on it. Ex A9X race car wheels apparently.
I think It was located in Sydney.
John.

I love it, but I am a fan of big diameter wheels on classic cars. Thats probably why I am building a pro touring style EH wagon. Hope to at least get some 18" under it without to much modification.

as is usually the case with cars like this, it was probable too #@$^%& to turn back to original.

i thouight it looked photoshoped to start with. good to see it finished then i would make a decision on how it looks. im sitting on the fence atm.

I love big wheels on LC/LJ, i reckon that looks tops Although maybe a little overkill on the tubs lol. At the same time though i still love the sprintmasters on my LJ.

In regards to it being a GTR, it his car we may not agree but his car none the less. i love the colour on it too.

I think it looks awesome, but I probably wouldn't hack up a genuine GTR provided it was in reasonable condition. As orangeLJ said that's a big factor. People have criticized me in the past for modifying mine, but the reality is when I bought it it was completely rooted, many of the necesary parts were either not there or stuffed and it didn't have the matching numbers block. All the things I've done to my car are reversable and it's little more than a respray and a retrim away from being original. I want to fit some bigger rims up to my LC but they'll only be as big as I can fit without cutting it up.

Yeah, looks like he's pretty well off... 454 powered seed boat :spoton:, and that Monaros looks sweet.

Dunno bout the 20's on the LC thou, I like big wheels on old cars but only to a certain point, you can go too big. Just enough to fill the guards up looks sweet, although the some of the older style wheels on a torana can't be beaten, as in Sprintmasters on LC/Js and Big Fat Hotwires on the LH/Xs....
