BUTT UGLY :gun: :furious: :fool:

If it was a genuine LC GTR then he is a :fool:

Every one has the right to do what ever they like with their car.

AND every one is entitled to their opinion.

That's my 2-bobs worth

Hell yeah! Love it. It might look a bit weird because it doesn't look like the guards have been extended, i could be wrong, springs would help also.

IT couldnt be original its got after market GTR badges on it. Its not everyones opinion that counts if he likes his torrie that way good on him who knows it might look ok once its raised 4 to 6 inches. still cant beat a set of sprintmasters..

OK WELL SEEMS YOUR ALL TALKING ABOUT ME LOL I BETTER FILL IN SOME OF THE GAPS AND RUMOURS SURROUNDING MY LC LOL,
HEY THERE EVERYONE.
YES IT'S A GENUINE GTR.
HOWEVER THE TAGS WERE LONG GONE BEFORE I GOT THE CAR. SO RATHER THAN MAKE IT A SEMI FAKE GTR BY USING TAGS FROM ANOTHER ONE WHICH IF YOU ASK ME IS MORE OF A CRIME LOL. I DECIDED TO BUILD IT INTO SOMETHING PRETTY CRAZY. SOME SEEM TO LIKE IT AND OTHERS ON HERE DON'T BUT EVERYONE'S GOT THERE OWN OPINIONS HEY LOL.

FOR STARTERS THE WHEEL ARCH'S ARE NOT STRETCHED I WANTED TO KEEP THEM ORIGINAL,
THE TUBS NEEDED TO BE THIS BIG AS THE WHEELS ARE 20"X 10" WIDE WITH 305 TYRES AND NEED TO SIT IN THE GUARDS MORE SO THEY DON'T INTERFERE WITH THE ORIGINAL ARCH'S, ALSO THE FIRST PIC OFF THE TUB IS BEFORE THEY WERE CUT DOWN AND WELDED IN
THERE ARE NO SAND BAGS IN THE BOOT LOL
AND IT WILL NEVER HAVE SPRINGS BECAUSE I HAVE FITTED AIRBAG SUSPENSION.
IT ACTUALLY SITS ON THE GROUND COMPLETELY.
THESE PHOTO'S ARE ACTUALLY A FEW YEARS OLD NOW THE CAR HAS LOTS MORE CRAZY MODS DONE NOW,AND IS BEING BUILT TO ELITE STANDARDS,AND WILL HAVE OVER 1000HP
WHAT MORE CAN I SAY, BUT I BET YOU'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT.
HELL I BUILD CARS CAUSE I LOVE EM,
I'VE OWNED 9 LC LJ'S NOW ALL 2 DOORS 3 OF THEM GTR'S.
JUST ONE MORE THING WHY DIDN'T ANYONE CRITISIZE THE SPORTS SEDAN LOL IT WAS CUT TO PIECES LOL.
ALSO LJ355 DID SELL ME HIS ENGINE FOR THE SPORTS SEDAN,CHEERS MATE. UNFORTUNATELY I SOLD THE CAR BEFORE COMPLETION AS I MOVESD BACK UP TO THE GOLD COAST AND YES TO A GUY IN BENDIGO I THINK.
AND I'M NOT THAT WELL OFF LOL , I DON'T STILL OWN ALL THOSE TOYS , AND IF YOU DO A LOT OF WORK YOURSELF YOU DON'T ALWAYS HAVE TO SPEND ALOT OF CASH.
CHEERS JOEL

Cheers Joel, Good on ya mate, Would love to see some pics of how it is now. Do you still have the monaro?

The way I see it is as lot of others on there do, Build your car how YOU want it, and treat other people how you would like to be treated, may not be everyones cup of tea thats fine, but if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all...

O.K. I'll be the one to critisize the sports sedan. I don't like it!!
I do however like the colour of the LC, love it in fact. I don't think anyone was laughing at you or your car as such but just passing their opinion. Nothing wrong with doing what ever you want to your own car because after all it is your's. I dared to be dif. with my paint because I didn't want her to be "the same" as everyone else and yes people have laughed at it but I can't say i've ever laughed at anyone's who's is painted in a "classic" standard paint job because it was their choice to have it like that and I respect their choice.

Welcome to the forum by the way.

sorry for sounding so critical, it is your car you do it your way. i think the wheel arches should be stretched that way the wheels would look like they suit the car rather than looking jammed up under there, i think it would probably look a bit more appealing then. but hey its up to you mate. its only my opinion i dont like bling wheels and never will, but dont take it to heart its only an opinion, you can never please everyone, hang around on the forums the more the merryer. welcome :D

Welcome Joel.

Thanks for dropping in and telling us a bit more about your ride! It's definitely sparked some interest that's for sure!

The good thing about the members here is that we have a wide variety of people, Some of which like the modified cars, and alot of which prefer to stick to the original styles.

Regardless of what side of the line you come from, It's no ones right to bag out another person's tastes, and from what i read here no one has done that. They've pretty well just stated wether they like or dont!

Anyway.. I'm a bit on the fence about it! I'd like to see more finished shots of it as it comes together, is sounds like we'll be seeing it at a few shows anyway :)

Just one question.. How do ya get the wheels off if they fill those tubs! :spoton:

Welcome and enjoy your time here!

20's look sweet bud, keep them on. guards would look good with a stretch though, so you can fit some big stickys so you can get some power down. 13 inch wheels are only any good for burnouts on underpowered cars. you cant even buy them over 205 mm wide anymore. they are definatly for original restos only. I have bought a new set of 1/4 panels for mine, so the flares are going and tubs are in. My 15 by 10 convos will go under std guards for the strip and 20 by 10 for skiddin. am going 20 inch all round but.

I don't know how much it will be doing with airbags...
