For those interested my latest project I have taken on is a genuine HQ GTS 350.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Ive had to rearrange the garage and boatshed a little to fit things in.

Posted Image

Boats got to go....

Posted Image

Had to evict the boat and made arrangements to have it housed at a mates place to make room for the GTS.
Anyone want to buy a boat ??

Posted Image

Starting to pull it down......

Posted Image

Bit squeeze but at least their under cover..

Keep you posted as things progress.regards

Thats its original colour Salamanca Red [1824-10Y], and it has the factory fitted 4 speed Muncie with the transmission mod plate.

Ill be very happy if it ends up looking as good as Tinys GTS Monaro..Regards

Great to see some pics! I'll swap you my GTS for your gargae! I would kill for the space :spoton:

But in all seriousness, I have no doubt that you will give your HQ as much TLC as youve displayed with your other cars and i'm sure you'll end up with en envyable machine when its done!!

Congrats and cant wait to see more pictures!
(And thanks for the kind words regarding my car!)

Regards
Tiny.

I love the shape of those big coupes, I have almost bought a couple of different ones of those over the years but, I only have the time to take care of what I have got.

Looks nice mate.

Thanks for the positive feedback boyz

The hatch is in the workshop awaiting brake lines, brakes, fuel lines, drop tank, motor and gear box etc its spare time work so its not happening quick enough!

Thats where she sits at the moment.regards

FFFFAAAARRRRRRRRKKKKKKK!!!!!!

Man when i spoted this post i thought to my self WOW an update on the Black hatch... But when i looked i almost fell over...

After looking at the pics of your garage and the A9X, HQ GTS, that pink thing hiding and the little canoe i got shivers all over..

My previous car befor i got my hatch was a HQ GTS coupe but was only a 308 one, was painted brocky blue with centerlines...Swaped it for the hatch i have now..Sad thing was i had to scrafice 1 for the other..

Good luck with all the toys mate..

I'd like to know more about these brakes your fitting
I know what they are
I know what they are off
I see your mounting the rear ones forward of the axle for more shock clearance
I'd like to know
1. Why Harrops
2. What rear discs and handbrake your using
3. How your adapting them on

Thats what i was waiting to see since the forums went down... Top stuff

With the brakes i know your running HQ stubs with harrop arms and from what i see on the brakes side you using HSV calipers and most probly HSV rotors as well. wouldnt it have been better to run torana stubs and steering arms? your obviusly gona mount the calipers with a custom braket, wouldnt it be the same to make a braket to fit the torana stubs as it is the HQ stubs...With the torana stubs all the steering would stay correct wouldnt it?

John
