Firstly GTS, congrats... always great to see decent pix, but when they are of such awesome machinery it's twice as nice!
My question is this: going by the rear 3/4 shot of the black hatch, you're fitting flares? It looks like the rear guards have been cut 'above' the original flare of the wheel arch....is this right?
Great cars, done right.
Love your work... and do you have progress pics from the time you were doing the chassis rails to the paint stage... would love to see them like everyone else!!
Cheers, Dick

everybody wants one !!

Thanks for the comments people and sorry knoath for taking so long to get back, Ive got plenty happening at the moment. Yes the guards have been cut higher around the wheel arch so as to minimise the chances of all size wheels that I might want to fit from rubbing.

I still have the old pic's of the project if you want to look and any particular ones let me know and I will post them up for you. Ill put some up soon of the 350 HQ GTS, I will pick it up from blasters [beaders] this week and see how many hidden sins it may have.

Thanks again for your interestregards

Picked the GTS up today, a few hidden sins and a little rust to deal with however, overall very good.

Tiny, $1,300 for the job and they need to care about what their doing otherwise they can stuff it completely.

Regards..

sorry to be rude - but what workshop do you own - might be a bit of good publicity as people know how meticulous you are

Thanks for the feedback guys, and Oldn64 Ive still to get to the brakes yet, Neil has given me advice which I will be following soon, hopefully.

Jono, my resto mans Graham from Bears Body Works in Cairns, he does excellent work for a young bloke and just as cheeky, we look after each other although he reckons he hides when he sees me coming.

Hes been more then meticulous with the black hatch and the same with the rest of my cars.

Heres a photo of Grahams VK or I think its a VK.regards

Sam, you got mail !!

The GTS gets a complete new interior from Eastern Auto Upholstery as per the trim code on the body ID plates.

Original materials including the button up back rests as opposed to the late 72 zip up backs.

Not very good photos but they look absolutely fantastic, he does excellent work takes forever but worth the waitregards

Eastern Auto Upholstery.... Lock it in Eddy!
That looks like a very high standard, HSVGTS... you must be very happy with it.
Was he more expensive than other places? Looks like it was well worth the wait.
Thanks for posting lotsa pix, always makes it worth following the build.
Good luck with it, keep posting!

Guys Im chasing the rubber/plastic securing clips that fit into the body to hold the vent grill in place between the bottom of the front windscreen and the back of the bonnet for the black hatch. Can anyone help as to the whereabouts I can obtain some and what theyre called?

Info would be appreciated, thanks .regards

Pete,
They are called Grill seals P/N 2823932. They were on the rare spares wish list thread. No idea on progress.

Just a few more shots taken today.

You car see the offset was for a standard torana guard with no flares, theyll just have to make them again with the correct offsetregards
