Ha we saw one on a car cruise that said SPDKLS. It was on some jap car I think and it definitely stuck in my mind. FUBAR sounds pretty good though. Good comic value and it sticks in your head.

Look forward to seeing more photos of this car. The paint was coming out awesome!

Got wiper motor bits chromed
Posted Image

Redid my remote short shifter, in steel this time not alloy so it wont break!
Posted Image

Few other bits chromed (hinges, door striker)

Cable boot release (Stock Gemini)

Steering wheel came, but didnt fit my boss kit so put another on order.

Best shots I could get in the shed... things covered in handprints :/

And of course things couldn't all goto plan, Fired the motor up and it runs alright, but idle is a little weird and randomly just dies every now and again...

Hopefully it just needs to be taken for a good drive and get the cobwebs out but I goto a funny feeling something is up :(

New mags should be arriving shortly as well, Show wheelz Streeters 17"

bardup and fubar i can't see passing rego
something about "plates can't offend....."
hence you can't have figjam or "god" for that matter

and when it dies does it puff black smoke or just hessietats?

I never checked the exhaust but it makes a puffing sort of sound as it dies... like air blowing back through the intake or something...

Is it possible it has a sticky valve? how can you check that... at Idle (900rpm) the boost/vac guage pops up and down between 18-20inches.. I did have a inkling it had a sticky valve before as it used to make the same puff sound when it was cold at idle, like every second or so.... I donno when but one day I noticed it had stopped...

Cars been sitting for like 6 months now and seems its back... Im yet to take it for a decent drive tho.

A sticking valve would usually result in valve train noise/ticking. It is unlikely that a sticking valve would cause and engine to die. Most engines will still idle with one plug lead disconnected.

Its only a 4cyl tho, so 1 cylinder not firing at 850-900 rpm... You can hear it do it sometimes but hear the idle controller kick in and bump the idle up for a couple seconds before it settles again

Turned out that a bunch of dust n crap from either the sanding or sandblasting got into the ecu and was causing interference and making it shut down... lucky it didnt cause any permanent damage.

Is running perfect now :D

Also makes it a short throw shifter as the pivot point is very low...

Sweet Gemmy.

Could do with those flares being filled out properly tho.

And maybe a mini reverse bonnet scoop : )
