Thanks guys for all the feedback! I do regret selling it but unless I want to rent for years before buying a house this was the only option! Thanks for all the well wishes and heath for putting the pics up! 'Fell out of a happy meal' - it is small but not that small! :D

Yeah alright, It's not a torana but not everyone on these forums only owns a torana as their daily! I would bring it along to the heathcote drag day but it would probably be blown away by tyre smoke!

Bring it along to the drag day mate! Variety is the spice of life. You could probably turn that little thing into a Motorkhana vehicle - work the suspension and brakes up right, combined with the turbo, you could be onto a winner. At least it's still rear-wheel drive!

Anyway mate, best of luck with the house hunting, I don't think you'll regret it, especially when the day comes when you can move into your own place. Hopefully I can do the same in the not-to-distance future as well..... As Glenn said, good things come to those who wait. Set yourself up now and imagine what you'll be driving around in 20 years time! For me, I hope it's a HUMMER!

Cheers.

PS. I'm sad to see the A9X go too

Theres one of those Suzukis that races with us in the speed series and is pretty quick
Looks like good fun
Shame you couldn't keep the car and still get the house cause you might never get another
But the future is important and this will give you a leg up anyway

Good luck

Some good pics John! I forgot they were taken!
Maybe I will bring it to the drag day (obviously not as a genuine competitior!) but it would be a laugh seeing it try to drag race a torana! :D

Best of luck with the house hunting. You have done the right thing.

10 years ago I sold my first SL/R 5000 to buy my first house, I then sold my nice VR SS to buy my second house. I now have another SL/R 5000 and am not moving again! :D

My daily drivers are a pair of fully imported Japanese vehicles. And I will be competing in one of them at Heathcote.

It 's definatly a wise decision. Obviously if you could afford to buy a house and keep the A9X comfitably you would. It's not worth ruining your life over a car which you don't own a garage to keep it in.

I sold my VR SS to start my business. If it comes to the crunch I'll sell my LX to buy my first house. Beleive me, its the second last thing I'd want to do! (the first would be living with my mum at 30).

Give the bloody Latte a break guys. As girly as it is, I'd rather drive that to work every day than a torana. I drove my torries to work between the age of 17 and 20. It was fun on the weekend, but nothing like getting pulled over on the way to work or running out of fuel coz your skanky guage doesn't work.

What the owner does with it now isn't any of my business! Strange seeing it in a showroom with other cars!
