Yep...unlike the hatch, the edge near the back door on the inner guard is a problem...

The corner near the door isnt totally cut out Kev..I did it more like original L34...not like Ruts' sticky.

Those photo's I sent you Rory have an original L34 with the rear flares removed. I took a heap of photo's of that area so that if someone wants an original cut I can duplicate it. That accidemt happened after a bingle at the Classic.

Problem is if I remove the springs and compress the 290s up to the bumpstops....not that I think it will get there...it touches everywhere....so dropping back to the 265s seemed smart.....the 290s are V8 Supercar sizes and as Greg says if it doesnt hook up with the 265s we have other problems....guess I was trying to please the kids a bit too much...they look the part but are not practical.

Great work on these cars, well done I love the garage pic. I cut the filter open everytime I change the oil on my baby. You were lucky this time, you really were blessed.

Weird...Lined up the motor and Toploader on the floor...slipped on first time!..and it was in gear!!...Then dropped the body onto the unit..same thing! First time!...something must be going to go wrong!
Just oil, water and a few other bits and shes finished.

Have to ask R, what caused the bearings to scuff up?? lack of oil pressure from oil surge? as I remember you wanting a HE sump as one stage????

Who did you get the extractors from? and how much do$h

The engine was clearenced for 25W60 oil..I started running 10W40 without asking then the spin so the combination of the 2 we think. That car runs a HE...The other sump was for No.2
Extractors are Pacemaker P5275 HQ with 1 3/4 primaries Got them from Best Mufflers at Carlton in NSW...$595 landed at my door..local guys wanted $725 plus freight.

Appears I have changed again..Looks like N0.2 gets VN heads, and 286 cam with 9.5:1 compression....should make a 308 sing nicely!
