Pure gold.

Especially the water in the tail lights and the lake of electronics... 3 wires and you're done.

Gotta say, i enjoy having the od Torana (sunbird) out.

As the old saying goes:

"People luagh at me because I'm different, I laugh at them because they're all the same."

This thread is becoming more entertaining by the minute hahaha. Nice to see that the force called makka in here.

Seriously though which is better? A group of nicely sized girls (Cruise of LH-LX Toranas) or a group of all sizes of girls, from whales to skin & bones (Cruise of all Torana models lol)?

I rest my case

We call the "Death Star" theory the "grenade blocker"
The grenade blocker is the mate that takes it for the team and keeps the fat chick entertained whylst the others chat to the friend or friends.

Am I correct in saying that you own a UC Sunbird?

I could comment but I best be leaving that one well alone as I fear the wrath of Sunbird owners on this forum... they're a sensitive bunch.

Comment away.

As for UC owners beeing sensative... meh!

Its a Torana forum for fellow Torana enthusiests to congrigate and share, sadly there are people that feel so inadequite that they have to put others down to make them selves feel bigger
We call these people "ELITIST" and they exsist on almost every Forum.

Toranas...Its not a compitition... its a passion.

Well, I definitely wouldn't refer to myself as an "ELITIST".

I'm more of a friendly fisherman who casts out a line now and again to see how many bites he can get. :D

So let me get this right... you like to pay on other Torana enthueists for your your own pleasure. That may not make you an elitist, but it sure makes you and asshole.

UC's do grow on you... and you appreciate them for different things...

Yeah like turning on the head lights or leaning over the front of the car with the bonnet up.

Basically all that was ever improved on a UC could have been done to a LX to make a car twice as good.

Finally, the UC locked away behind bars after so many years on the run.

The Crime: Defamation of the Toranas good name for over 30 years.

Sentence: Death by means of auto dismantling. As Victims of Crime, other Toranas will be entitled to make use of the dismantled parts as compensation for the pain and suffering endured over the decades.

LOL did u guys realise the "deathstar" or as chicks know them TFA (token fat arse) is there on purpose!
1. fantastic excuse to get away from irritating drunk guys... (your missing the chicks signs to her to.. *wink wink* HELP!)
2. u can hide behind them...
3. its easier to get to the bar if you walk right behind them!, TFA walks along and people get the hell outta the road to avoid conversation, u just follow and BAM! your at the bar with no hassle!
4. source of amusement when at the end of the night there is "not enough room" in the taxi and you leave them behind! LOL

and the UC is ugly. HAHAHAAHAHAAA

Its kinda funny, if I gave a shit what other people thought i'd be in a bit of a pickle.

See NONE of my friends are into Toranas. In fact, all but one of them have givin me hell for chosing to keep my "Torana". The most common suggestion i've heard since mentioning my "Torana" is "BURN IT!"
The guys at work don't know that I'm keeping it yet, so my first day back next Monday is going to be full off grief from all directions.

Now if I needed some moral support for deciding to keep said car I could try a Torana forum.

WRONG!

Not only is it a UC but its also a Sunbird. There's no love here.

Good thing I'm so conceited that I don't care what anyone thinks.

Its the same anywhere man. If you were on a Ford forum and told people you had an AU or a Capri convertible you would cop just as much shit. If there was just one model of Torana and each car had exactly the same specs with the only difference being the colour of the car there would still be a particular colour that was rubbished more than the others.

Most of the people here are just taking the piss for the fun of it I reckon. The UC is easy to pick on because it is different, just like the asian kids or the ranga's at school (wouldnt ya hate to be a red headed UC sunbird owner named Woo Fok Tran on this forum !!).

Its just one of those things that comes with UC or Sunbird ownership. If we worried about what others think, we would all be driving pretend SLR's !!

I liked my LX Sunbird just as much I liked my SLR 5000 and now I like my UC as much as I like my LX SL. To me they are Torana's and thats all that matters.

The original intention of this thread was to get a heated argument started among the UC owners but it seems we are all too mellow to bother. I like that, it shows we have nothing to prove which is what I thought all along !!

Except with the MoPar forum. Its doesn't matter if you own a VH R/T Charger or a base model CMor even a Chrysler Galant or a new 300C, if its a MoPar its a MoPar, and in the religion that is MoPar, dissing any MoPar is an act of heresy.

Oh, and the Rolla forum, i haven't seen any Rolla bashing.

With both forums its about the badge, the car, helping each other and sharing the same enthusiasm.

That said, I am an Australian and enjoy a bit of fun, but i'd rather pick on the person than the car.
