UD Torana

A bit of research indicates that the above drawing is not of the UF torana.
It's actually a design by Phil Zmood for what became known as the Green Lizard (aka the Torana Rotary). I have a photograph of the full scale mock-up which I'll post as soon as I've scanned it. The end result was a recognizable Torana hatchback with a Monza nose, extended tail, and slightly flared guards. It was designed to be a rolling test bed vehicle for one of the early hand built GM rotary engines, and was painted a metallic Turquoise. The car was disassembled when the GM rotary program folded, and the GM rotary engine was returned to Chevrolet.

I also have the '72, '73, and '74 issues of the Giant Killers magazine series. There's a bit more information on the XU-1 V8 in there, but again it's nothing new.

Great digging mate. I think the publication Buckle has,
listed the car as a UF.
Easily see the hatch in it eh! Don't mind it.

lol I don't think any four door Torana was designed with the idea of actually fitting even one adult in the back seat. They did sell the four with four doors..........so I think they had that in mind.
I'd like to see a 4cyl torana pull around 4 adults comfortably.

these four young lads+ myself as the driver fitted nicely (although snugly) into my torry, and the rear wheels scrubbed like crazy. cornered nicely thou, the extra weight got the old girl to hug the road a bit more.

lol i went to edit my post and lost the lot and now cant be botherd retyping it. lol
Cant say I ever noticed 14in sle rims on a Gemini, but they did come with 13in sle rims with the easily noticeable feature of four studs.
I think you could be right. The 14" SLE rims seen on geminis are Camira Rims and look much the same as VH SLE rims.
And they dont fit propperly too.

Some Geminis had 14x6 alloys from the factory. The Camira rims John mentioned have the same centre bore as the Gemini, but the offset is different. Gemini is +23, Camira is +49.Cant say I ever noticed 14in sle rims on a Gemini,

The 14" Gemini alloys are to suit the FWD RB model, not the RWD TX to TG series.
AFAIK the RWD Geminis only ever had 13" wheels from the factory. The RB 14" alloys probably have a similar offset to Camiras, because they are both FWD.
The other wheel that would fit is the Piazza, these are basically just a RWD Gemini under the skin.
