hey all i just got a statesman from an old guy up the road for $500
it has a 308 and is on duel fuel
all origional the interior is mint
has 6 months rego
has rust in the rear quarters, battery tray, boot floor and
a little bit round the front and rear screens

iget my p's its getting pulled off the road for a rebuild

Maybe you could slot in a new V6 until you get your opens?.....you know...the 210kw jobbie.

i hav a very low income and owe my parents $400 for it which will take a few weeks
how much would a conversion like that cost
i also hav to get it to rwc in 6 months wen the reg runs out

i know thats why im gonna talk to a pannel beater i no and get it done cheap
im not pulling anything off it unless i hav the money to replace it.
ant the reason i hav no money is because a few weeks ago my ex gf stayed for a week
and i ended up spending over $500
which was the stupidest thing i could hav done

If you want to drive it on your P's, you could buy an old rusty 202 trimatic HQ-HJ of any shape and swap the engine, box and radiator over. It's a straight bolt in apart from the exhaust and maybe pick up a 6cyl power steering bracket and pulley which are cheap as chips. You could put the 308 back in later.

was she ur EX at the time? thats mental. you should give the car to me as punishment and ill give you your 500 dollars to spend again on somethin USEFULL, IE not the birds

You don't need more project plans in your head... work on the VK.. get it finished so you can drive it as a daily
Use the UC as a project to gain skills and drive when youve got some experience
Get rid of the Statesman ... these blokes will happily take it off your hands for a profit so you can use the money on the cars that matter
