hahahaha, sounds like you had fun then.

Karlies parents were "worried" when their daughter started spending money on cars (when we fixed up her corolla) but now they wholeheartedly approve!

Will be good to see it out and about!

Good stuff mate, Look forward to catching up no matter what vehicle it is!

Why sell the accent though?

Cheers!

The reason she bought the EK was because the accent just sits there ( Amanda walks to work ) and it only gets driven once a week if that.. So i told her we should sell it while it is worth something and to get a car she really wants.. No regrets kinda thing and we are also looking at buying a house so the more money in our pocket the better! :)

Im assuming the Q is still in the shed, so is the EK outside?

Yeah, my father had one when I was a kid, man he used to love that car,
I guess you can't have kids in it these days.
I was pulled over for RBT the other day in the berlina with the kids and they commented on their seatbelts, I laughed and said how I used to ride on mums lap in the EK.
I assume if it runs out of rego they will make you put retractables in it to re register it?

Not sure how the rules go with reregistration if it lapses.. Amanda wants to fit seat belts to it, if we do i will make sure they are a period belt and match the car though.

If it doesn't have seatbelts in it then they are not needed for rego as there were no ADR's on those models.

If you fit seatbelts then remove them and there are anchorages visible then you need to refit belts.

I had a very original FC wagon a few years ago without seatbelts. Here she is.

You'll be amazed how many times you get in the car and try to put them on!!

Or..........
Using the clutch, pull it out of second and find neutral.
Take foot off clutch.
Rest weight of arm on gearstick in the direction of first.
(There may now be a grinding noise, this is normal)
Play the accelerator pedal up and down the scale until your arm drops.
Voila!
Can be done at any speed your car will pull in first. Posted Image
