check out the other thread about the rubbers.  AFAIK the new ones are okay.  Talk to McCardle, he'll set you straight mate.

Thanks Grant. I have heard the new rubbers are better but still not up to an acceptable standard.

Don't want to turn this into a winge thread but if people/companies are selling reproduction items they need to make sure they work properly and are up to a suitable standard, that's why I hope Mick M makes more parts as he takes time to get it right the first time.

Mick, it is common knowledge that there are at least three other manufacturers of seals and some are really good.

I have seals from Spectrum (down your way :P ) which I like alot. Scott's in Vic and the Rubber Shop at Enoggera here are also very good.
