Advantages of owning a UC Torana

"Its not a real Torana"
"I didnt even read that topic because it was about a UC"
"Only good for spare parts for proper Torana's"
"Geeze, Holden really got that one wrong"
"UC = Ugly Car LOL"
blah blah blah......
I know, its annoying and elitist but for those who own and love their UC we really do have the last laugh and here is why:
Its called a handbrake for a reason. Four floor pedals in a manual car hehehe WTF for?
$300+ for a set of tail lights? No thanks, I prefer to get mine free.
To flare or not to flare? Not a question most UC owners even bother asking themselves.
Matching numbers, dodgy tags? Hahaha, I dont even know what my tags say, nor do I care.
Original vs Modified? Not a dilemma that UC owners face.
Sports dash with 4 gauges? Easy to find and relatively cheap too.
You know those plastic bits that always fall off the back of LH/LX seats? Probably not, as UC's are not hindered by such shoddy design flaws.
Park your car where and when you want. Any thief worth his salt will not give it a second look.
Cruising with a pack of Torana's? Yours is the one that isnt the same as all the others.
Peter Brock drove one, maybe not on a racetrack but he still drove one.
A good straight rust free UC is more of the norm than the exception.
And last but not least for the H8R's, you can polish a turd..... see Dirtbags thread
So UC lovers, next time one of the snobs bags out your ride you can smile smugly, acknowledge their ignorance and rest assured that you in fact are on a better wicket. I know I do
Oh, and for those curious LH/LX'ers who did venture out and read (god forbid) a UC thread, offense was intended. But all in good jest
All Toranas are cool, no if's, but's or maybe's.

Have doors and boot with little to no rust that can be donated to LH-LX owners.
Scrap man will give you atleast $100 for whats left so your making a profit.
UCs Love em.

and it's a Sunbird at that!!
seriously, I am amazed at the (good) comments I get at car shows about the car.
And for long distance trips, I wouldn't go past it!

yes the good thing about uc,s are you can leave them in car parks and they are always there when you get back. also if your short on money you can hire your car to the RTA for for night time road works. just have the leave the lights on.i was told last years new years eve,s Sydney harbour bridges fire works were just a few uc toranas flashing their lights. also i was told Sydney airport hired uc toranas last time they had black outs for the run ways.
haha i like the comment about using the lights for roadworks!
less than 2 months til i get home and get to drive mine... and fit all the bits i have bought for it

if you drive a UC no one will suspect you are into cars
unless you have a v8 under the bonnet, us uc owners dont like to follow what everyone else has we like to stand out in our uc toranas
