Recently I had exactly the same thing happen. A supposed orange original GTR with a vinyl roof was for sale on ebay and was going for 12000 I think. I got an email after I enquired about it and that email said the same crap as in the first post. The car was supposedly in Darwin wrapped and ready for shipping, the owner apparantly went through a divorce here in Aust and moved back to her parents place in the UK. They wanted me to send the money for the car through ebay the same way. The funny thing was that the pics I received in the email from them were of only around 20kb's each and most people know when you take photo's of anything these days with digital camera's you just dont get photo's under 2mb.I thought shorely people dont get sucked into this but I guess the odd person does otherwise these goofs just wouldnt bother.

Avoid anyone who sends fuzzy photos - they're hiding rust and bog.
The guy told him there was some rust but not much.

Interesting. A few years ago a KX500 bike appeared on ebay, same deal, bike was in Oz, she was in Italy and recently divorced etc etc. After I contacted her it became apparent that it was a scam and she (he?) was simply fishing for personal details. Ebay removed the ad after I contacted them.
This is basically along the same lines, wouldn't be surprised if it was the same mob.

Gee I feel sorry for that bloke who bought the mustang. Lets hope he has learn't an expensive lesson. Never ever buy a car without inspecting it for yourself. I just bought my car from wraith75 and he lived 2 hours away, I stuffed him around for like a week and a half as I just couldnt get down there. I liked the car but just couldnt bring myself to paying for it or even putting a deposit on it before seeing the car.

If we buy a car on ebay and it didnt match the description, its easy i dont buy it. People are to trusting now and will believe anything people say then they get the shtis when things turn sour.

its a shame people like that make it hard for genuine people trying to sell things on ebay everyone is suspicious of a seller im selling a hz tonner at the minute and have received 4 emails with people having a go at me simply because at the bottom of my ad i said i may accept a torana as part payment i wasnt asking for a show car, this is the second msg this bloke sent me and then my reply Q: do you think we are all idiots lx or lh is worth 5 + times more than your 1 tonner i have a one toner in about the same gondition and am ex torana owner part payment you would owe them money mate 22-Oct-11 A: ok mate well i have 3 toranas and 13 kingswoods so dont bother talking to me about cars i was simply puting in my ad that if someone had a rusted out torana or one that they wanted to get rid of that may be written off or may be incomplete they may be interested in a part trade if you look in my feedback i sold a lh torana last week for $300 it was rusty and incomplete so you sound like a real guru on cars but keep your smart alec thoughts to yourself if your not interested in my tonner fine but surely you have something better to do than email me, by the way if you havnt kept up to speed $300 isnt 5 times more than what im asking for this car, sorry if i seem rude but im a little bit over people on ebay always having a go at a seller
