You threw the wheels out? :o

I'm buying a set for mine, I reckon they're awesome looking wheels, just hard to find tyres for em.

Good buying.

Be happy that the ball joints separated on the trailer, and not after you got it all together and on the road. At least you know their gonna be good now, for a while anyways, they are a regular maintenance item on the old beasts.

Just makes me wonder how many of our old beasts departed this earth as unfinished projects, including LC XU-1's, LJ XU-1's, SS's, SL/R 5000's and A9X's? That thought depresses me, I'm going to bed.

Good to see you've saved one.

Exactly
My dad and i were off to pick up some new springs for my 4door lx and as we went around a bend in his HZ wagon, front right ball joint snapped and we went sliding on our nose into the other lane!! Lucky we were only doing 40kph as we only just come off a main road too doing 90kph
4hours of waiting on side of the road for a tow truck and a hip pocket lighter... and it was back on the road :)

So all you guys give your ball-joints a check. Takes 5 mins and can save you lots of $$$ and time...

Just thought I should update every one on exactally where I am at

I have the engine and gear box in, the only problem is the extractors hit the chassis on the passenger side.

My nine inch is also in but I need new backing plates for the brakes.

my interior is completed and waiting to be sat on

Aaaaaawesome stuff, that interior looks wicked! Kinda like mine but with a more unique retro texture on the purple, sweet.

What happened to the wide 13"s? lol

Can you link us to your actual CarDomain.com page? Or do you just upload the images and link to them?

Okay, first off. Open up the image you want, so it's big.

Then, right click and go to Properties. Copy the Image Location.

Come into your Reply Window on the GMH-Torana.com Forums.

Type [ IMG] (without the space), then paste in the URL. Will be "http://blahblahblah...". Then, type [ /IMG] (without the space). The image will then appear in the reply.

Obviously not getting the actual image properties.

The first one will work, the second will not. Make sure you get the actual image location.

For example:

The interior was done by a local guy here in pirie, His name is Alan Mummery. He does a very good job the only fualt I could find was a wrinkle on one of the headrests. other wise he done a perfect job.

The yellow engine is only temporary, and I will eventually dress it up with chrome etc...( I want to put a yellow anodise over all the chrome work so it looks gold )

Right Thats Is I officially have the s**ts with the hatch.

I have been block sanding down the primer for over a week (a few hours here n there) and have cracked the s**ts. it never ends and to think I have to do the whole car another 3 times is driving me insane.
I do know that it will be worth the trouble in the long run but if only there was an easier way??

I want to have it ready for the base coat black by the weekend but I just dont think it is going to happen..... :furious:

Yeah we hear you Toddy, it is a pain in the arse but when you are cruising in it, it will all be worth it. just concentrate on 1 panel a day if you do more its a bonus. Do you have to have it done real quick or are you impatient/ hanging to get in it?
