Hahahaha, yeah Ive finally stepped up and have the correct amount of cylinders! I thought you would of been a Chrysler man through and through? Although I have had my eye out for a VG Hardtop..... been spying on that one on Sheridan St outside Cairns High for a few years... A 440 in one of them would be ideal!!! But Ive settled on a Torrie.

Yep I bought it as a painted roller, Im led to believe Forrester and Emmerson in Mareeba did the work on it about 2 years ago. Unsure of cost though. I do know of one guy who only does old stuff, he did my Mini and my mates HQ Coupe 10yrs ago. He isnt cheap, but considering our cars paint work is still looking good, it shows that you get what you pay for.

Oh and fatlh5000, Ive sent you a PM mate! Thanks!!!!

I can't be much of a Chrysler/Valiant man for 2 reasons - for one i have Centura's, the black sheep of Chrysler world, & the other is my main Centura has a Toyota in it :3gears:
Actually i am a bit of every thing man that came from Holden background.

Who is you paint man?

Hahahaha, is that why you painted the 1UZ-FE Centura black?

Yeah Ive got no bias, having owned Holdens, Fords and British.

Ill send you a PM.

Slowly getting all the missing bits and pieces together.... Thanks largely to forum members here!

Rear door ashtrays!

Posted Image

Got me expensive NOS knob.......

Posted Image

More bits blasted and primed, hoping to start putting some colour on stuff this week. Pretty much most things have all been cleaned up blasted, primed and ready to go.

Posted Image

I think you can buy the SLR Horn allen head screws new now??? Ah well... See how they come with some paint.

Posted Image

Did some repairs to my fuel sender, repaired the damaged pick up filter sock, and removed corrosion from the sender connector shaft that was causing intermittent high resistance. I had to replace the shaft retaining clip but also laid down some epoxy to ensure this area does not leak...! Anyone know if the large O-Rings that seal the unit against the tank are available from somewhere??? The fuel tank is at the panel beaters getting a few dings removed, also getting it blasted/primed as it was powdercoated maroon.....

Quality work since I last visited this thread Brad. Attention to detail is an awesome thing. All that will definitely show in the end.

I once broke a console like that in the same spot. It was when I went sideways into a tree and the 2 front seats met in the middle. No offence to any fellow forum member couriers, but I swear marking boxes as FRAGILE, and CAUTION is freakin useless with some of those guys! That's such a waste of a nice genuine colsole. If it was mine I'd definitely attempt a repair, even if you source another non damaged one for your SL/R and keep / sell the repaired one.

As far as I know the SL and SLR trim is the same on LH models. LX is different.

Looking good. Looking at all the pics of things you've painted makes me realise how much they must have cut sick with the powdercoating on this vehicle previously. Should be a vast improvement.
